  1. >You wake up quite early, at just after 5am. You still feel hollow after Applejack’s betrayal, but you now know what has to be done. You set your mind on the short term goals, ignoring the emotional pain.
  2. >You start off by heading up to your room. Applejack had moved back into her room ever since she became suspicious of you, but belongings of hers still remained in what used to be a guest room… back when times were simpler.
  3. >You grab a rucksack and begin packing clothes and toiletries into it. It looks like you’ll be taking up Larry’s offer of accommodation after all.
  4. >You also grab the spare bits you had saved up over the course of the 8 months and bundle them into a cloth bag. It wasn’t much, but it’ll do for now. You weren’t a materialistic man, and you didn’t bring anything to Equestria other than a single set of clothing, so thus you weren’t leaving much else behind.
  5. >Finally, before leaving the room hat had been yours for so long, you take the framed photograph of you and Applejack that sat on the bedside table, and ripped it in half down the middle. You shut the door behind you, for the last time.
  6. >As you make your way down the stairs, you are greeted by Big Macintosh.
  7. >”What happened? Applejack didn’t come in last night and here ya are, packing up as if t’leave forever.”
  8. “That’s because I am, Big Macintosh. I’m sorry, but Applejack did something I can’t forgive her for, ever.”
  9. >Big Mac looks solemnly at you. “Applejack cheated on ya?”
  10. “I’m sorry to say so. I’d rather not talk to you about it, and I’m sure once Applejack comes in she’ll need to talk as well. See you around, Big Macintosh.”
  11. >”Ah’m sorry Anon, that just ain’t the Apple way. She’s tarnished the family name, and by betrayin’ you she’s betrayed all of us! You’re as much as family to me as Applejack is…” he says remorsefully.
  12. >You pull him into a stiff hug.
  13. “Thanks Big Macintosh. You’ve been a brother to me as well.”
  14. >”Take care, Anon. Ah’m so sorry…”
  15. “It’s not your fault, Mac. Remember to take care of Applejack, she’ll be hurting as well, and she’s still your little sister.”
  16. >”Even when Applejack breaks your heart, ya still think out for her… you’ve got a strong heart, Anon.”
  17. “I’ve been told. Do you promise to take care of Applejack?”
  18. >He wipes away a single manly tear. “Euyup.”
  19. “Then goodbye. And thank you.” You make your way from the house, your heart aching that you’d never be able to call this place your home again.
  20.
  21. >You make your way to the bar, the majority of P0nyville residents still being asleep at this hour, including Larry.
  22. >You bang on the door to the pub and through the blurred glass in the door you make out Larry shambling towards the door.
  23. >”Eh? Who… oh, morning Anonymous. Why in Tartarus are ya here at 6 in the morning?”
  24. “Remember your offer?”
  25. >”Oh shit Anon, did something happen?
  26. “Yeah, something happened…”
  27. >Larry rubs his eyes with a hoof and sighs. “I guess you better come on in then.”
  28. >You make your way upstairs from the bar, into where Larry ate and slept. He leads you into a small, but cosy room beside his bedroom, and you set your stuff down on the bed.
  29. >”You need some coffee?”
  30. “I’d rather have a pint of cider, but I guess coffee would be more appropriate.”
  31. >He yawns and heads into a tiny kitchen, and you settle back down into the bed.
  32. >So this is it. It could be worse, you suppose. At least you have a friend willing to take you in.
  33. >After a few minutes Larry returns with your coffee and you drink it gratefully.
  34. >”So… do you want to talk about what happened?”
  35. “No. You run the only bar in P0nyville, you’ll find out soon enough anyway.”
  36. >He nods. “I’m heading back to bed then. Will you be ok?”
  37. >You fake a smile.
  38. “Yeah, I’ll be fine.”
  39.
  40. >5 Days later, Rainbow Dash’s POV
  41.
  42. >It’s been 6 days since you last saw Anon.
  43. >You had checked Sweet Apple Acres, only to be confronted by a tearful Applejack who called you a home-wrecker and shut the door in your face.
  44. >That hurt, coming from her. You still didn’t know what went wrong between her and Anon though, but you it brought you close to crying knowing it might have been because of you.
  45. >You still needed to find Anon though. You had checked everywhere – Twilight’s, Fluttershy’s, Rarity’s, Pinkie Pie’s, even Lyra’s house. When you checked the bar every night, he wasn’t there either. You even checked the bucking train station to make sure he hadn’t left. But nope, he hadn’t come through there since the first week.
  46. >Tonight was the night of your first Wonderbolts performance. It was due to start at 8, and it was 3 right now. 5 hours to find Anon and get to the show, and you had no idea where in Tartarus he was!”
  47. >Dejected, you make your way to the bar.
  48. >”Hey Rainbow Dash, what’s troubling you?” Larry asks, as you enter.
  49. “Anon promised he’d be at my show tonight, but no-one’s seen him around for days” you say, trying to hold back tears of disappointment.
  50. >”Anon? He’s been staying with me for that time.”
  51. >You look up, hope rising.
  52. “R-really? He’s been here? How come I didn’t see him? How come you didn’t say anything?”
  53. >”He’s stayed in his room for that entire time, and you didn’t ask about him.”
  54. “Can I see him?”
  55. >”Sure. He’s upstairs, but I’m warning ya, he didn’t take whatever happened between him and Applejack well.”
  56. “Thanks Larry.” You head up the stairs, and approach the closed door.
  57. “Anon? You in there?”
  58. >No reply. You open the door slowly, before stepping in.
  59. >The stench of alcohol hits you immediately. Right after, you see Anon sitting on the bed, nursing a bottle of whiskey in his hands. His face was ragged and judging by the bags under his eyes, he hadn’t sleep well or at all in the last few days, and he sat staring blankly at the adjacent wall
  60. “By Celestia… what happened Anon?” You grab the alcohol out of his hands, and he makes no moves to get it back.
  61. >He stares you at you, before returning his gaze to the wall.
  62. >”I can’t… I can’t do it. Not without her. She supported me… she was everything to me.”
  63. ”What did she do? We can’t you two be together?”
  64. >He keeps staring at the wall. “That night when she didn’t come home… I went out looking for her. I found her… I found her in another Stallion’s bed.”
  65. >Your mouth hangs open, embodying your shock at this revelation.
  66. >Anon looks down at his palms and frowns, like he’s just noticed something wrong. “I was hoping we could make up, but when I found her… did I really mean that little to her? I just don’t know…”
  67. >How could she? How could she hurt Anon like this, after everything he did for her?
  68. “I’m sorry Anon.”
  69. >”No!” He shouts, catching you off-guard. “You have nothing to be sorry for. You will not blame yourself for this. I won’t let you.”
  70. >The two of you sit there in silence, willing the other on to speak.
  71. >”You’ve always been a good friend, Dash. You’ve never once failed me… you made me feel welcome in Equestria… you gave up so much time for me…”
  72. >Your heart begins to flutter.
  73. >”I guess I just wanted to say…” he begins leaning in towards you.
  74. >Your heart is now beating frantically. Could it be happening?
  75. >As he leans in closer, you close your eyes, waiting for his lips to meet yours…
  76. >He keeps on leaning forward and instead wraps you in a tight hug.
  77. >”I just wanted to say thanks. For everything. For every moment we’ve spent together.
  78. >It’s a good thing he can’t see the disappointment on your face right now. You quell your sadness, wishing the tears away, and instead enjoying the hug, knowing it’s the closest you two will get.
  79. >”Wait!” he says, breaking off the hug.
  80. “What’s wrong?” you ask worriedly.
  81. >He appears to be in thought for a few seconds, until clarity returns. “Your performance! It’s tonight, isn’t it?”
  82. “Yeah, that’s why I’ve been trying to find you these last few days.”
  83. >”You’ve been looking... shit, I’m sorry Dashie. I’m a horrible friend, not even telling you where I am…”
  84. “Don’t worry about it. I was a horrible friend for being there for you.”
  85. >You both grin at each other. “Let’s not get into the blame game, we’ll be here for days” Anon says, slowly returning to his former self.
  86. >You grin.
  87. “You’re just saying that because I’ll win, aren’t you?”
  88. >He holds his hands up in a mock surrender. “You got me. Now, I believe we have a show to catch?”
  89. “Hold up Anon, it’s not for another few hours at least, you smell like booze, and your face is a mess.”
  90. >”Hey, ladies love the hobo look.” He says, laughing. ”No matter, I’ll have a shave, change out of my clothes, get a shower, and we’ll be ready. Simple as that.”
  91. “Sounds like a plan.”
  92. >”Oh no it doesn’t.”
  93. “How long have you been listening to our conversation, Larry?”
  94. >”Not long enough. Anyways, the shower’s broken.”
  95. >”Dammit, we can’t use anyone else’s house as I really don’t want anyone else to see me like this.
  96. >The three of you ponder the problem at hand for a while.
  97. >”What if… you used a raincloud on me? I’ve seen you control them before.”
  98. “Yeah but… I’d have to be there.”
  99. >”So?”
  100. “… Never mind. Let’s just do that then.”
  101. >Anon nods. “Ok, I’m going to have a shave, get dressed, and then you’ll provide a shower.”
  102.
  103. >After Anon got himself ready, you flew him out of town, so he wouldn’t have to meet anyp0ny on the way. You set him down in a remote area, and he immediately strips down.
  104. >”Ok, go grab a raincloud.”
  105. “Sure thing.” You grit your teeth, desperately trying to contain your wings in vain.
  106. >You return with a cloud and set it over him.
  107. “Now Anon, I’m warning you, I can’t control how cold it’ll be.”
  108. >”Just do it, Dashie.”
  109. >You begin jumping on the cloud, sending torrents of water down to Anon.
  110. >”Oh Jesus help me that is cold!” he shouts up to you.
  111. “Want me to stop!”
  112. >”N-no, keep going!”
  113. >You continue jumping on the cloud for another few minutes, until the cloud is emptied. You fly down to Anonymous, and see that’s he’s shivering.
  114. >”It w-w-worked, at l-least.”
  115. “How are we gonna get you dry though?”
  116. >”Let’s just l-lie here in the s-s-sun, not like w-we’ve got m-much else t-to do.”
  117. >You settle down beside him, snuggling into him like you always had, trying to ignore the fact that he was… completely… naked.
  118. >Nope, wingboner activate, please just blatantly show Anonymous that I want him, thanks.
  119. >Thankfully, Anon doesn’t seem to notice, or if he does, he doesn’t care…
  120. >Eventually, he dries off and puts on his clothes. Aside from the bags under his eyes, he looks normal. He looks… happy.
  121.
  122. >Later on that evening, Anon’s POV
  123.
  124. >You and Rainbow Dash arrive at the stadium. She gets you through security, and heads off to get changed into her suit, but not before you wished her good luck.
  125. >”I’ll try to impress you Anon” she says, before striking a pose.
  126. “Dashie, you don’t need to try. Just enjoy yourself. That’s all I need from you to be happy”
  127. >”That’s… that’s really nice of you.”
  128. “You know I mean it.”
  129. >She smiles, before flying off to the changing rooms.
  130. >You make your way to the VIP box, courtesy of Rainbow Dash, and to your surprise you meet Celestia.
  131. >”Why hello Anonymous, I was not expecting you to be here this evening.”
  132. “Hello Celestia. It’s a pleasure to meet you again, but I didn’t fancy you to be a fan of air-shows.
  133. >“If you have forgotten, the Wonderbolts are my personal acrobatics team.” She coughs, before motioning to a seat beside her. “Come Anonymous, the show is about to begin.”
  134. >You take a seat beside her. “Now Anonymous, I have heard of your absence from the P0nyville scene and many worry about you. Is there trouble in your life?”
  135. “Let’s not talk about this right now, Celestia. No need to spoil a lovely night.”
  136. >”As you wish. Do remember that I am always available when needed. My duties, though important, leave me with much time to myself, and I am always happy to help.”
  137. “Noted, Celestia. I’ll take up your offer if needs be. But for now, let’s just enjoy the show.”
  138. >”Agreed.”
  139. >Suddenly, the speakers come to life, signalling the start of the show. “And now, in her debut performance for the Wonderbolts, please give it up for… RAINBOW DASH!”
  140. >The crowd erupts into applause and cheers as Rainbow Dash swoops down from the heavens, accompanied by 6 other Wonderbolts. She takes the middle position, her rainbow streak standing out from the thundery trails the other Wonderbolts leave.
  141. >For an hour, the Wonderbolts perform every manoeuvre and trick possible, aerial stunts so impressive you’d doubt that pilots back home could match them.
  142. >As the show nears it’s climax, Rainbow Dash breaks off from the formation and flies upwards, gaining speed. You knew exactly what she was planning.
  143. >She did a 180 and speed towards the ground, gaining speed.
  144. >Here it comes…
  145. >She breaks the sound barrier and the Sonic Rainboom is unleashed, spreading across the sky in her wake. She lands on the ground, skidding to a halt, before posing.
  146. “That’s my Dash…” you mutter to no-one in particular as the crowd goes wild for her.
  147. >You feel pride rise through you as you watch her take in the crowd’s chanting and screaming, clearly loving every second of it. You also felt something else, a slight tugging on your heart, a disturbing feeling and one you quickly push out of your mind.
  148.
  149. >You meet her outside the stadium, where she enthusiastically bounds into your arms.
  150. “You were amazing Dash.”
  151. >”I know” she says, her lovable cocky demeanour in full form, still running off the highs of the spectator’s applause.
  152. >She climbs onto your back, and you begin walking away from the stadium. As you walk, she nuzzles your neck slightly, causing you to shiver.
  153. >Uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, with serious implications arise and you quickly dispel them. Now’s not the time…
  154. >Now’s the perfect time.
  155. Brane pls go
  156. >I’m serious; just entertain the thought for one min-
  157. PLS GO
  158. >”Hey, dude?”
  159. “Sorry, busy thinking. What’s wrong?”
  160. >”Why did you bring us here?”
  161. >You snap back to attention and notice that you’re in the park you and Dash frequent so often. No p0nies appear to be around, leaving you and Dash completely alone…
  162. “Sorry, I was just thinking.”
  163. >She floats off your back and settles down next to you as you lie down, gazing up at the moon-lit sky.
  164. >As her head rests against your shoulder, your mind races. It’s too soon… we’re just friends… that’s all we should be… Yet your heart continued to ache, its sights set on Rainbow Dash.
  165. >Rainbow Dash notices the pained look on your face and sits up worriedly. “Anon, what’s wrong?”
  166. “I… there’s nothing…”
  167. >Come on faggot. Now’s your chance, use it or lose it.
  168. “I’ve been thinking Dash… I loved Applejack, but she couldn’t return the same kind of love that I gave her… and when I watched you perform, I felt something… I need someone to love…”
  169. >Rainbow Dash’s eyes widen. ”W-what are you trying to say, Anon?”
  170. “Rainbow… you’ve been amazing to me since I got here. You’re my best friend… but do you think… could we be more than friends…? I guess what I’m trying to say is… I love you, Dash.”
  171. >”You… you mean it?”
  172. “Yes. I love you.”
  173. >She stares at you for a second, before pushing you backwards, forcing you to the ground.
  174. “Hey! What gi-“
  175. >Your words are cut off as her tongue invades your mouth, vying for dominance. You push back, exploring her mouth as well, your passion demanding release.
  176. >The two of you lie there, kissing, before she breaks away, tugging at your pants.
  177. >You don’t resist her. You know she want and needs this, and deep down, you need this as well. Your desires demand realisation, both physical and mental.
  178. >You pull your shirt off and run a hand down Dash’s back, stroking the base of her now erect wings. She moans, before leaning back in for a kiss. While the two of you lock lips, you rid yourself of your trousers and shoes, and when she breaks off the kiss again she takes a second to gaze at your body.
  179. “You sure you want to do this?”
  180. >”There’s nothing I want more.” She says, and with that, the two of you embrace.
  181. >To say you were in ecstasy would be an understatement. This was pure, primal joy. As Rainbow Dash moaned and gyrated on top of you, you felt everything. The pent up frustration, the happiness, everything. You knew Rainbow Dash would never betray you. She would always love you, had always loved you, loved you in the same way you loved Applejack. Rainbow Dash could return that love though. You wondered why you ever even stayed with Applejack in the first place. Rainbow Dash was everything Applejack could never be, did everything Applejack never could.
  182. >The night wound on, but neither of you noticed, both locked in the lover’s embrace. Eventually, you both finished, in a moment of volcanic passion. She let out one last cry of relief and pleasure… before getting off you, and slumping next to you.
  183. >For a while the most either of you could do was hug, and pant. As you both regained your senses, Rainbow Dash kissed you on the lips.
  184. >”I love you too Anon.”
  185. >As you both lay there, having physically and emotionally satisfied each other, you were unaware of a pair of bright green eyes watching you…
