  1. >It’s been a week since Rainbow Dash weirded out on you. Every time you tried to talk to her, she just left without an excuse.
  2. >Today you won’t give her a chance to leave. You’re going to talk to her and find out what the hell is wrong with her.
  3. >It’s been troubling you. She had never explicitly told you that she liked you as more than a friend, but her reaction… how upset she got when you told her of you and Applejack…
  4. “Bye Applejack. I need to talk to Rainbow Dash.”
  5. >”Why? Ya didn’t upset her now, did ya?”
  6. “I did, but I’m not sure how. See ya.” You smile and leave, noticing Applejack’s frown. >You had discovered soon after you arrived that Applejack was the bearer of the “element of honesty”, and you hated lying to her, but she couldn’t know of this.
  7. >You make your way into P0nyville, greeting some of the p0nies that pass you. Word had got around about you and Applejack, and there had been a multitude of different reactions. Some stallions actually came up to you and congratulated you. Others made off hand comments about “a nice mare going to waste like that”. Most people just responded with curiosity.
  8. >You make your way to the park where you and Rainbow Dash spent so much time together. You knew exactly where she would be. The tree in the centre, where you used to lie down together.
  9. “Rainbow Dash! Get over here! We need to talk!”
  10. >From above came muffled sobs. “G-go away Anon!”
  11. “Not until you come down here and tell me what’s wrong!”
  12. >”It doesn’t m-matter Anon. It’s t-too late…”
  13. >You aren’t taking no for an answer. With a running start, you hoist your self up into the tree, climbing as fast as possible. Sitting in the branches is Rainbow Dash, who is caught off-guard by you.
  14. “Dash, listen to me. I need to know what’s wrong.”
  15. >She wipes tears from her cheek, and you can see her eyes are red. How long has she been crying for?
  16. >She tries to take off but you jump and tackle her, sending you both crashing to the ground. She tries to get up but you pin yourself on her, locking her in place.
  17. “Dash, I need. To. Know. Just talk to me…”
  18. >She continues to sob, avoiding your gaze. It’s all or nothing…
  19. “You like me, don’t you? And not as a friend…”
  20. >She looks up at you, hope in her eyes.
  21. “I’m going to get off you now, but you’re staying to talk. This ends here.”
  22. >You hoist yourself off her and she sits on her haunches.
  23. >”W-when you first came to Equestria I th-thought you were just c-c-cool, but after a while I began to like you… but I w-was too afraid to say anything.” She sniffles and looks up at you with puppy eyes. “I thought you’d get mad, and that we wouldn’t be able to be friends anymore… but when Spitfire came round and told me, the only thing I could think of was how proud you’d be… and that’s when I realised. And then I went out to find you and… and…” She breaks down sobbing again. “And then I worried that if I told you, you and Applejack would both hate me…”
  24. >Jesus Christ. Tread carefully, Anonymous.
  25. >You pull her into a tight hug, letting her cry on your shoulder.
  26. “Listen Dash. I’m sorry I don’t feel the same way about you, as you do about me… but I don’t want this to run our friendship. Barring Applejack, you’re the best damn friend I have here. I’m asking you… can we move on from this and just be friends? Can you do that for me?”
  27. >Her chest deflates as she realises any chance of you and her being together is impossible. “But… but…”
  28. “I know its hard Dash. But I’m on my knees and begging you. I don’t want to lose you.”
  29. >”She lets out last sniffle and looks you in the eye. “I can try.”
  30. “Thanks Dashie. You don’t know how much this means to me.” You scoop her into another hug, bringing on a fresh round of tears.
  31. >”W-wanna go out drinking l-later?” she asks hesitantly.
  32. “I would like nothing better.” You pull her onto her hooves, her crying stopped.
  33. >You felt awful about putting Rainbow Dash down like that, but at least you could still be friends.
  34. “And this time you better not quit after two mugs of cider, ya lightweight.”
  35. >”Hey, at least I don’t get so drunk I have to be dragged home.” She laughs.
  36. “It wouldn’t have taken so long if you had actually gone the right way to Sweet Apple Acres. And not left me in Roseluck’s garden. She still gives me the evil eye every time I see her”
  37. >She laughs again. ”Dragging your flank around gets boring, Anon.”
  38. “So…are we cool now?”
  39. >She punches you on the arm playfully. “Yeah, we’re cool now. Be at the bar tonight, I won’t forgive you if you miss it.”
  40. “Gee, I sure wouldn’t want to incur the wrath of Rainbow Dash.”
  41. >”No, you wouldn’t.” She sticks her tongue out at you before taking off. “Cya Anon!”
  42. “Cya Dash!” You shout after her.  You head on home to Sweet Apple Acres, a newfound spring in your step.
  43. >”Hey honey, what in the hay happened to ya?”
  44. “What do you mean Applejack? I’m just in a great mood, that’s all.”
  45. >She walks over to you and glares. “Ya just leave suddenly, sayin’ ya have to meet up with Rainbow Dash, and ya come home beamin’ like the sun on a summer afternoon.”
  46. “What are you implying, Applejack?”
  47. >”And why” she says, plucking a single blue hair off your shirt “do you have Rainbow Dash’s hair on ya?”
  48. >Is she… no. How could she even think that?
  49. “I can’t believe you’re even implying this Applejack! You know me and Rainbow Dash are just good friends.  She was feeling down, so I gave her one of my trademark hugs. You think I would lie to you, the element of honesty, my special somep0ny?
  50. >She flounders for words, before looking down at the floor in shame. “Sorry Anon… Ah just overreacted. “
  51. >You sigh and run your hands through her mane.
  52. “We both need to trust each other for this to work, Applejack. I trust you unequivocally. Don’t you trust me?”
  53. >”Ah do… I just…” She looks back down at the floor.
  54. >Goddamit, now is not the time for Applejack to be sad.
  55. >You begin to tickle her belly.
  56. >”What the… ah, stop it! Anon!”
  57. “Who’s a silly p0ny?”
  58. >”Ahaha, that tickles… stop, please!” She says through fits of laughter.
  59. “Not until you say you’re a silly p0ny!”
  60. >”Ah’m a silly p0ny, ah’m a silly p0ny!” She yells, and you withdraw your hands.
  61. >She lies there giggling, before looking up at you. “Does that mean…”
  62. “Of course I forgive you, ya big eejit.” You lie down and kiss her, placing your hands on her sides, eliciting a moan from Applejack. You slowly move your hands down…
  63. >”Ya’ll have your own room for reason.” Says a voice flatly. Looking up, you see Big Macintosh standing in the doorway of the house, glaring at you.”
  64. “Oh, sorry. Just got caught up in the moment.” You say sheepishly.
  65. >Big Macintosh rolls his eyes and walks into the kitchen. You look back down at Applejack.
  66. “Now, where were we…?”
  67. >”We were just about t’go work the Apple trees.”
  68. “Oh c’mon Applejack…”
  69. >”Enough darhlin’, you’ll get your Apple Pie soon enough…” she trots out of the house, tail raised.
  70. >The fucking cock-tease…
