"I am sorry to disturb you." >Concern shown from Celestia's eyes as you placed yourself near her, but just outside of touch. >"You know you are always welcome here" >Luna nods. >Of course she was always welcome here. >Celestia would do nothing less. >Luna's gaze fell to the floor as the silence began to draw out. >She had to ask. >She had to know. >But she feared the answer. >"Luna?" >Eyes welling in tears looked up at Celestia. "Did he live well?" >Celestia looked taken aback for a moment before realization dawned on her. >"Oh Luna." >She responded as she stood, moving towards her sister. "Was he... happy?" >Great wings wrapped around a grieving mother, pulling her towards a white chest. "Did... did he hate..." >Her words were broken by a sob as she fell against her sister. >Celestia wrapped her hooves around her sister, cooing softly as she stroked her mane. >After Luna had calmed down a little Celestia responded. >"Of course not. He could never hate his mother. He loved you with all his heart" >She nuzzled her sister. >"He lived a long and full life. He was happy, sad, angry, and ecstatic" >Luna sniffed as she pulled back away from her sister, rubbing at a wet cheek for a few moments before looking up at her with a sad smile. "I'm glad. I'm glad he didn't suffer for my sins" >Celestia shook her head. >"He never did" >She paused hesitantly before continuing. >"... if you would like, we can go visit..." >Luna's head was already shaking. "No. I have already visited him. I just... needed to know" >Celestia nodded. >Of course, that is exactly what she'd do. >As Luna recovered a question nagged at the back of Celestia's mind. >"Luna..." >Celestia had never had a child of her own. >Ever sharp, Luna looked up at Celestia with a sad smile. "Because it is my way of bringing a little happiness to the world" >With a deep breath Luna stood up, giving Celestia a wet nuzzle. "Thank you sister. I need to go and... think" >Celestia nodded >"Good night" "And good day."
