Brotime - Interlude II

>Pinkie Pie led you through the town she resided in

>You couldn't help but be enthusiastic. Not only because of the bright colors and friendly ponies. But also because of Pinkie Pie's incredible amount of energy. It was contagious

>You thought being different would cause a scene, but only  a few ponies gave you any strange look. And even then they would introduce themselves and ask what you were

>Nearly everyp0ny ended their greeting with "Welcome to P0nyville."

>It might've been because you were walking through town with one of their own, but it was still nice to be accepted so quickly

>Pinkie Pie quickened her pace

>She pointed out several buildings to you on the way to Twilight's home

>The cottage outside of town that belonged to Fluttershy, the house on the apple orchard that Applejack lived in, some boutique you can't the remember the name of where Rarity resides, a...cloud house with a rainbow fountain? Rainbow Dash's place. And last, but not least, Sugarcube Corner, the place Pinkie worked and lived in

>Finally the two of you arrived at your destination

>You both stood in front of what looked like a giant hollowed-out tree trunk with a door, windows and balcony

"So this is Twilight's house?"

>"Sure is! It's also the town library."

"So you think we can find some info on how I got here from Twilight?"

>"I hope so." She says as she knocks on the door

>A few seconds pass before the door opens a bit

>A short scaly green and purple creature looks at Pinkie, then switches his gaze to you

>His eyes widen before he runs back in the library

>"TWIILIIGHT!"

>You and Pinkie look at each other in confusion

>It's a moment or two before the door opens again revealing a purple unicorn p0ny with a streak of purple and magenta through her dark blue mane and tail

>"Hi, Pinkie. What's got Spike..so...worried."

>She trails off as she notices you

>"Hiya Twilight! This is my new friend, Anon! He's a...uh..."

"I guess I never answered that question, haha. I'm a human. And you're Twilight, I'm assuming?"

>Twilight nods, still staring at you

"...Alright then. I...uh...Pinkie and I were hoping you could help me with something."

>She stops staring at you and seems to take in the gravity of the situation

>"Sure, but first I need to know...where did you come from? There's never been anything about humans documented in Equestria before. I'm sorry if I come off as rude, I've just never seen anything like you before."

>You wave a hand dismissively

"Don't worry about it. I'm sure it's pretty weird meeting the first-ever human in...where did you say we were? Equestria?"

>She nods, smiling

"Yeah, first ever human in Equestria. I gotta say, this place is pretty unique. I mean, I almost touched a plant that plays jokes on people earlier. If it hadn't been for Pinkie Pie my first day here might've gone completely haywire."

>Pinkie Pie smiles at you and you return it

>"You -have- to tell me all about where you're from! Please, come inside."

>She excitedly trots inside, leaving the door open

>Twilight seems very interested in learning all about you. Far be it for you to deny her of speaking with a completely new species in this strange land

>Pinkie Pie walks inside and you follow her, closing the door behind you

>The interior of Twilight's home matches that of what you've only seen on television or a Zelda game

>Shelves and shelves of book line the walls. A staircase on the left side of the room leads up to a balcony with a bed and basket with blankets and a pillow in it

>You look to Twilight. Her horn is glowing and three chairs, surrounded by a purple sparkling aura, levitate to the center of the library before landing. The purple aura disappears

"What...what was that? Did you just use telekenesis or something?"

>"Telekenesis? Oh no, unicorn ponies can perform magic."

>Magic. These p0nies can not only fly and be multi-colored, they can also do magic

>Honestly, in your book, that's pretty damn cool

>You notice something behind Twilight

>It's the small creature that ran in fear of you

"Hey Twilight...who's that?" You say, motioning in her direction

>She turns around

>"Oh. Anon, meet Spike. He's a baby dragon and the best assistant a p0ny can ask for."

>Alright, Unicorns and Pegasi were one thing, Magic was kind of a surprise, but dragons exist here?

>Twilight moves to the side and reveals Spike

>Spike seems to cower in fear from your gaze

>"Spike, it's alright. He's not a diamond dog. He's a human."

>"Y-you sure? He's not gonna eat me or anything, is he?"

>And they can speak?!

>You unwittingly move closer and  go into fan-gasm mode

"A dragon? A real, living dragon? Standing here? I can't believe it!"

 >"Ahh! Twilight! I told you! He's going to eat me!"

>Spike cowers behind Twilight again

>You step back, scratching your head

"Hehe...sorry little guy. I just think you're really cool is all."

>He steps out from behind Twilight

>"You do?"

"Yeah! I've never met a real dragon before!...Then again, I've never met speaking p0nies either, but still!"

>"Thanks, I guess.."

>The little guy's still somewhat doubtful about you

>You hope you'll be able to get to know him after this meeting with Twilight

>He exits the room through a door beside the staircase

>Twilight sits in one of the chairs. You and Pinkie do the same

>"Now I'm going to ask you some questions, Anon. I hope you don't mind." She says levitating a notepad and pencil about her person

>You nod

>"Where did you come from?"

>Over the next hour or so Twilight questions you about your origin and species

>Who you were, where you came from, how your species does certain functions, the usefulness of your appendages

>She was coming up on her last question

>"Okay, Anon. One more question. How do humans act?"

"How we act? You mean like...our mannerisms?"

>"Yes."

"Hmm...well humans aren't really a pleasant bunch. Most are selfish and greedy. Thanks to this our world has suffered immensely..."

>You go on to explain the many problems with the human world. The economical crisis, global warming, idiotic political moves, the turmoil faced by other countries besides the United States, hunger, disease, war, death...everything

>You hung your head slightly the whole time you spoke. Looking up you see Twilight has stopped writing

>She's just looking at you with her jaw dropped

"Sorry, didn't mean to kill the mood with that."

>She shakes her head

>"No, I'm glad you shared that with me. It's just that...your world seems so...so.."

"Fucked up?"

>"Y-Yeah..."

>You sigh

>You feel something wrap around your gut. You turn to your right to see Pinkie Pie with her front legs wrapped around you in a hug

>You hug her back with your right arm

>"Don't worry, Anon. You're in Equestria now! And I'm gonna make sure you enjoy every day here!" She squeezes your gut tighter

"Thanks, PInkie Pie. I'm pretty glad you found me out there. Who knows what kind of chaos would ensue if I just randomly walked into town by myself?"

>You both smile

>Twilight gets up from her chair and sets down the pencil and notepad

>She then picks up a quill, ink, and a piece of parchment

>After writing something down in it, she rolls up the parchment and seals it

>"Spike! Could you come send this letter for me?"

>Spike enters the room

>The letter hovers over to him and he grabs it

>Spike then walks up the staircase and stands on the outside balcony

>With a puff of fiery-green breath the letter disappates into smoke and flies off

"He can send letters with fire-breath, too?! THAT'S AWESOME!" You say before quickly covering your mouth

>Twilight and Pinkie Pie laugh

>You can't tell, but Spike's smiling
