My New Life (Part I)

Well, here you are. It certainly isn’t what you expected but hey, it works! You finally got that surgeon job offer that you were waiting for the past few years. In the long run, it has been a very long “go-to-a-job-interview-and-not-being-accepted” kind of routine. You call that routine because how frequently it has happened and how mainstream the whole process feels. Well, guess you don’t need to get over that anymore!

You only start in a week or so, so you have plenty of time to surf 4chan before you get back to work. You found out about the website, and you’ve been surfing around /mlp/ for now. You’re starting to really like this “My Little Pony” thing, even though you’re not in the show’s target. But hey, so it’s half of the internet, so it’s not that bad, you guess. The only exception is that you’re not overweight, nor you’re ugly as all hell and you got a promising career.

While you’re browsing around, you find a very awkward thread: “Become your fav. Pony and get a free trip to Equestria!”. Well, ain’t that just a delight? It’s probably just a troll or a joke, right? Well, then why the hell don’t you join? You’ve never fed the trolls: Anytime you see something that’s too good to be true, you usually just ignore it. But this is frickin’ 4chan, might as well play along, just for fun.

You type: “Hellz yea! Sign me up!”. Then, surprisingly, you get get an immediate response: “Ok! It’ll take just a week or two. Have fun! :)”. Yeah, sure! [sarcasm]I just can’t wait to go to Equestria![/sarcasm] Does (s)he really think that you’re buying it!? Then, you check out the name of the poster: “Luna”. Ok, that’s just dumb. It certainly would be hard for someone to believe that the royalty would be on 4chan, let alone the royalty of a frickin’ cartoon show!

You soon realize that it’s 1:00 AM. HOLY SHIET, you should be sleeping right now. You seriously need to be aware of the time while you browse. Oh well, are you going to whine about it or go to bed? Going to bed sounds better. You certainly don’t want to stay up all night, nor do you want to oversleep.
