- >As you drifted off to sleep, you hoped it wouldn't happen again.
 - >but it did of course
 - >you're standing in the same familiar field
 - >the grass sways even though there is no wind
 - >some birds flit by, without a sound
 - >you gingerly takes some steps forward
 - >the dirt is loose and soft beneath your foot
 - >a few more steps, and the metal slips, sending you careening towards the ground
 - >you don't have time to catch yourself and plow face first into the moist ground
 - >the first, and last thing you hear before waking up is a mysterious voice say "don't worry sweetie, I'll always be there to help you up"
 - You jolt awake in your bed
 - >third time this week you've had that dream
 - >maybe you should see a therapist or something
 - >could be post traumatic stress or something
 - >you disregard the therapist thought as you sit up, remembering your still laid off
 - >and unemployed...
 - >you swing your foot over the side of the bed, and reach down for the familiar cold metal appendage
 - >its been a month and a half since you lost your leg
 - >a month since you had took your neice out to the zoo
 - >and tried to cross the street during a less-trafficky time
 - >you still remember it like yesterday
 - >Allie stepping ahead of you
 - >yelling "come back, Allie!"
 - >the bus horn and the screeching of the breaks
 - >diving to push her out of the way
 - >the sickening crunch as your kneecap was shattered
 - >you shudder and try to think of other things, attaching the ball and socket joint on your prostetic leg
 - >you get up, ready to face the day
 - >your day goes by un-eventfully
 - >you get some breakfeast
 - >look in the job section of the newspaper
 - >nothing appealing
 - >head online
 - >nothing local
 - >head to lunch with your friend Katherine
 - >feel the embarrasment of having her pay because you don't have the money
 - >again
 - >go home and watch some TV
 - >browse facebook
 - >just generally do not a whole lot
 - >then you go to bed
 - >for some odd reason, you keep your leg on
 - >never tried sleeping with it on, and no one said not to
 - >you fall asleep
 - >what feels like moments later, you wake up
 - >you're in the field again, but you immediately can tell this dream is different
 - >you hear the birds chirping
 - >you feel the wind blowing the grass
 - >you take your first step carefully
 - >and then another
 - >now you're walking normal, no problem
 - >you take a minute to evaluate your surroundings
 - >a ways off, you see a dirt trail, and head for it
 - >as you tread lightly, still apprehensive of falling, you see something blue in the sky
 - >almost the same color as the sky
 - >a bird maybe?
 - >no, not a bird, much bigger than a large bird
 - >as it gets closer, you stare in disbelief and confusion
 - >it appeared to be a horse with wings
 - >its mane was a multitude of colors, like a rainbow
 - >you weren't sure what to do, but it was going to pass overhead any minute
 - >you decided why the fuck not? and gave a shout and a wave
 - >the horse (pony may be a better term, it was rather small) looked down
 - >its eyes grew comically large, and as its attention was fixed on you, it smacked into a tree
 - >you hurry over to wear it lay on the ground
 - >not knowing if it would respond in any way, you say half to yourself and half to it
 - Oh no, what've i done? Are you ok?
 - >you say it the way you would to an animal that can't understand english
 - >to your shock, unlike any animal you've ever met, it responds
 - >"Yeah, i'm fine, just a few scratches"
 - >you jump at her unexpected words
 - >"woah, I'm the scared one here! Remember, I crashed into that tree?"
 - >she smiles, and you awkwardly laugh, relaxing a little
 - >she speaks up
 - >"so if you don't mind me asking, uh, what are you? and what are you doing out here?"
 - >what am I?
 - Well, I'm Anon, and quite frankly i don't know what I'm doing out here. I just dreaming out here i guess
 - >she looks at you oddly
 - What?
 - >"dreaming? I don't know what you Anons call dreaming, but this ain't it. This is real"
 - >you decide not to argue with her when you see the gash on her leg
 - >even if this was a dream, you might as well help her
 - >you point to the blood on her leg and say
 - Are you sure your ok?
 - >"Oh! That is pretty bad. Listen, i have a friend who doesn't live far from here who takes care of animals. She can patch me up. Do you wanna come?
 - >You agree and she says
 - >shes really good with all sorts of wildlife, maybe she'll know more about Anons.
 - >as you walk over with her, you explain that your name is Anon, and that your a human
 - >you tell her what happened before you got here, and told her in general terms about earth
 - >she found it hard to beleive, but didn't question your truthfullness
 - >in return she told you where you were and about Equestria
 - >a place with talking ponys
 - >neat
 - >it was easy to keep pace, her limping and you shuffling along
 - >finally you reach a small cottage, and Rainbowdash (as her name was) raises a hoof to knock
 - >after a minute, a yellow pony with wings answers the door
 - >Rainbowdash explains the situation to the yellow pony, who she calls Fluttershy, and you two get introduced
 - >she stands aside in the doorway and says
 - >"come inside, Rainbowdash"
