Bondage is a common element in this sort of artwork (characters often being forced into them) and generally being powerless (things don't get much worse when you can't even control your bodily functions). Scat and water sports are semi-common fetishes which obviously tie into this. Some like it for the "innocent" connotations (a diaper representing a baby's innocence) and, to them, it's no sexual at all. Plus, they enclose and rub your nethers, causing you to get excited yet don't allow sexual intercourse, so it's like a chasity belt of sorts. |

So, if I'm reading you and #137 correctly, than the act of soiling oneself - the aspect of diaper fetishism I originally asked about - is erotic to some (but not all people with this fetish) because it reinforces the already present, albeit light, bondage elements of the diaper fetish; while those who don't find it sexually arousing, but still enjoyable, is because of the regress to child-like innocence, and by inference, dependence on someone in a caretaker role? Would I then be accurate in saying that this fetish, assuming an overlap between the non-sexual innocence appeal and the sexual Dom/sub appeal, is a more "gentle" version or sub-set of Bondage? |

I think you've covered most of the bases, Doctor. However, many who take a sexual interest in this fetish do engage in a 'heavy' bondage sort of play where pain and punishment are very prominent.
