im curious, how did fluffy pony abuse start? |
| Gittonsxv #1496620 4 days ago |
Firebrand, abuse came first it seems and then people make the cute and good stuff...people love animal abuse... |
| NightJack #1496633 4 days ago |
@Gittonsxv
If it's true that fluffy ponies are based on Fluffle Puff then it's not true that it started with abuse. |
| Ol_Dirty #1496635 4 days ago |
@FireBrand & Gittonsxv
Fluffy ponies began as these cute stupid things, always dying as a result of their own stupidity. Then some people missed the "as a result of their own stupidity" part. |

@Gittonsxv
>Fluffy pony walking along the sidewalk >anon comes along and picks it up >"new fwend?" it says with its adorable big eyes opening wide with hope >"nope." anon says as he throws the fluffy pony down with a sickening crack >he then proceeds to stomp it to an inch of its life with a yelp of "hewp" growing weaker with each stomp >it would later die that night, alone Did that story effect anything in real life? I hope not. Why don't you quit whining about fictional abuse, get on this site http://www.pet-abuse.com/database/ and help a real animal in need. Moral support, send money, do something and you can change the life of a REAL life animal not a fictional one, if you want to do that then write your own love stories. |
| Anonymous #1496713 4 days ago |
@firebrand, started because even when it was just hugbox stories fluffies still had an unprecedented skill in getting themselves killed for stupidity like some more adult cartoons on tv do. Then it became canon that fluffies are physically weak due to their death prone nature and over time it evolved into people abusing fluffies because they were being to stupid to the point today where we have fluffies shit everywhere, abuse each other, try to steal human items, etc... So in essence fluffies were corrupted by the very thing that created them. |

@firebrand, started because even when it was just hugbox stories fluffies still had an unprecedented skill in getting themselves killed for stupidity like some more adult cartoons on tv do (like kenny from south park). I really wish it would all go back to fluffies getting themselves killed, it was fun back then. |
| Anonymous #1496789 4 days ago |
@714: It's more that fluffy ponies died from drowning, fluffy ponies drowned in absurd manner, fluffy ponies died in absurd manner, fluffy ponies must be extremely retarded and stupid to die in absurd manners, fluffy ponies shit all the time because they are retarded and stupid, fluffy ponies shit all the time because they have no relevant control over their own body, fluffy ponies are extremely weak because they can't control their own body, and that's where we are for now. |
| Van_Horsing #1496796 4 days ago |
@Anon711
Complaining about fictional animal abuse automatically equals not caring about irl animal abuse? This is interesting logic. I have a counter-proposal: How about you fuck off and stop trying to justify your sentient-animal-killing fantasies, you wretched, disgusting, husk of a human being? |
| Anonymous #1496802 4 days ago |
I've removed the abuse-free tag, because it would also describe non-fluffy pony-pictures that have no abuse going on.
The only required tag should be the fluffy pony-abuse tag, which is mandatory as per the rules. |
| Anonymous #1496808 4 days ago |
I've seen your comments Van, you're like a slightly smarter version of Gitton, whines about fictional abuse and probably doesn't help animals in real life. Please give me a good reason as to why fictional abuse/murder is so bad when there's plenty of media with it. |
| Anonymous #1496828 4 days ago |
1496711 here, I never said Gitton didn't care about animals because he clearly does, it's just people like you and him who need to be smart enough to filter out the abuse and let people read and look at this for whatever reason. I would ask for proof towards my supposed need to kill animals, but I know I can't convince people like you so why bother? I guess I'll just go back to spending time with my chocolate lab while you try to blindly accuse people who enjoy this stuff of being psychos and serial killers. |
| Van_Horsing #1496877 4 days ago |
@808
It's not necessarily bad to toss around in media(putting aside the fact that almost every instance of animal abuse in entertainment media is used to establish a character as a bad person). REVELING in the idea of the violent, painful destruction of a helpless, harmless, terrified creature for no reason other than to get your cruelty rocks off, make yourself feel like a big man, and entertain other people like you in some sort of huge, bloody circlejerk is what I dislike. And as a matter of fact, I have several pets that I love very much, all of them from shelters, and I have volunteered at the Humane Society off and on for a total of about 2 years. And you bet I get misty-eyed during the fucking Sarah McLachlan commercials. |

@Van
That's good then, I'm just trying to understand why people don't ignore this stuff if they don't like it. I would rather us not hate each other over having different tastes, but people like Gitton out right say they lost respect for others having darker tastes. What's wrong with dark? |
| Van_Horsing #1496918 4 days ago |
@828
You know what? You're right. That's no better than saying all cloppers want to drive down to the nearest farm and have an animal orgy in the barn. I apologize for generalizing. It's just... I don't know why people like fluffy abuse, but all the reasons I can fathom are bad, and I would seriously like to be enlightened as to ANY reasonable ones. I'm not sure why this issue makes me so angry. I don't get very upset when I see those pictures of furries chopping up the Mane 6. But fluffy abuse... it makes me feel numb inside. Like, literally. And very, very upset. |

There is no blood...or smashing, or drowning...
Are the tags right?Are these really fluffies? |
| NightJack #1497097 4 days ago |
@Anon913
It would be better to as why the abusefag can't do the same with non fluffy abuse as well, I'm really annoyed at seeing fluffy stuff that's not abuse always having someone saying "it's shit, need abuse" and then they complain about people saying anything bad about fluffy abuse, even when it's just to point out how it's really just the same old thing as other people have already done. |
| NightJack #1497098 4 days ago |
*to ask why |
| Anonymous #1497102 4 days ago |
@NightJack
I know about that, I'm just trying to help people see if they think I'm an actual abuser then fine, not quit going on abuse/love stuff and trying to call it shit for not having abuse or love. That's why I'm trying to get people to avoid hating each other over this. |
| Anonymous #1497110 4 days ago |
Finally, another person who can draw decent fluffies. |
| Ferrotter #1497180 4 days ago |
Some of the best fluffy pony art I've seen since Skoon's four-panel breeder mare comic. My only artistic criticism is the dam with the foal on her chest, the eyes are too small. The one being petted is almost the perfect picture of a fluffy pony in my head though. |
| Anonymous #1497193 4 days ago |
That's adorable and very well drawn.
Must...not...abuse.... |

@Van_Horsing
I've never heard any particularly insightful reasons. It pretty much just boils down to basic schadenfreude. Ideally, it's cathartic and helps reduce stress and other negative feelings in a safe, fictional setting. Less-ideally, it creates positive feedback for thinking terrible things. That said, I also find something unsettling about the dark side of fluffy pony. I don't think that what bothers me is violence against imaginary animals. That's far too commonplace in fiction I find enjoyable. What I think I am bothered by are the ethical arguments presented, intentionally or not, around the fiction. To provide a simple example of what I mean, in my experience, when someone, usually a newcomer states that fluffy pony abuse is terrible, the rational argument of "No, it's imaginary" is rarely the one given. Instead, people point to the intelligence, physiology, or origins of the imaginary creatures and claim that these attributes justify cruelty. |

@#7329 There's also some writers that write this type of fluffy pony story as a warm up for more serious writing. Many of them even think that it's silly, but hey it gets the creative juices flowin'. |
| Ferrotter #1497583 4 days ago |
The one single item of fluffy pony that is universally part of fluffy pony canon is that they are future biotechnological Hasbro MLP toys that got out of hand.
Thus, MLP related. And discussion of the toys, and what toys we'd like to see in the future, is clearly also MLP related. Check and mate. So go fellate yourself. It'd be more useful to the world than your bitching. |
| Anonymous #1497729 4 days ago |
There is no universally agreed upon fluffy pony lore beyond that there are ponies who are fluffy.
If we all agreed that future biotech was involved then how are there fluffy stories set during World War II? Personally, I prefer unexplained, surreal fluffy ponies to attempts to explain them with SCIENCE. |
