I'm not saying the pilot has nothing to do with it but... why was the Zeon forces so intent to keep the "new federation suits" i.e. the Gundam, Guncannon, and Guntank from being put into actsion if it was only the pilot that mattered. The answer, they didn't want them using suits better then their own. |

Yes, it’s a little known fact, that long ago, Princess Celestia, when a filly managed to find a strange and mysterious bag and tube set sitting in Star Swirl the Bearded’s lounging room. With excitement she played with the ornately decorated bag mistakenly switching it on full power. Unbeknownst to her, it was called the magical bag of suction and dimensional wonder, Star Swirl called it the ‘Saccume Cleaner’. With a hideous whirring and shrilling noise the bag and pipe set proceeded to suck her beautiful tail inside.
Screaming and wailing panic whilst clutching a nearby table for dear life, it wasn’t until 30 seconds later that Star Swirl galloped into the room and turned it off. Much to the relief of the young and traumatized Celestia, she was safe but her tail was now lodged between this dimension and another. Possibly the demon dimension she contemplated in further distress. In tears and sobs, Star Swirl comforted her saying that she was perfectly safe and wouldn’t have been able to fit in the suction pipe, he proceeded to tug out her now dusty and mangled tail. That day, all had been forgotten, until now… Applejack was showing her latest rope trick, and Princess Celestia had offered to be the participant. However, when Twilight used the controller deck to bring Rainbow Dash’s new mech to the tea party for a presentation ceremony, it bore a startlingly loud and intense jet engine noise. Unfortunately that same shrilling, tail pulling sound and sensations all clicked in Celestia’s head. With Applejack gripping the rope, the whole traumatic scenario played out once again… Celestia bolted for dear life… And do you think Twilight is about to do a double backflip whilst Rarity is cleaned up by Applejack? You bet! |

And that shows you don't get what I was saying... Better looks dose not mean a better product, it's a better construction, and in that regard the Zeon suit are the losers. I mean Zakus blow so easily they make Waspinator look like a badass. |

And yet Char's Zaku didn't because he had skills other Zeon pilots didn't have. Mobile Suits just like any other weapon is only as good as the person using it and this was proven when Sayla Mass hijacked the Gundam just to get her ass kick by Zakus. |

But Char's Zaku was also modified, so not a stock Zauk, once again better made MS is better. |
