Both of mine are still alive and have practically no health problems, despite being very old and I expect them to go on kicking for at least another decade. So yes.

My grandparents (mother's side) are dead. The other ones are a bag of shit. And they have the same appreciation for me. But I loved my mother's parents.

Fuck yes.

There is a reason why that episode is awesome, and that's because of the extremely important lesson about elders.

Both my grandpas died before I was old enough to remember them. I have one grandmother left. She's really sweet, but she's almost 90 and not doing so well health-wise.

Old folks are pretty cool.

My mother was an orphan so i never met her parents.

My grandparents from my dad's side are still alive but i think my grandpa is gonna go in about 5 or 6 years.

Personally, I don't know how Grandpa married Grandma in the first place. Did he lose a bet or something?

it's okay now, he got divorced.

The only one I knew well was my grandmother from my father´s side. She was a racist, a witch (the santeria´s kind) and a total dick with my mother and my older brother. She died alone and her other sons (except my father) are still fighting for the testament, an old one-floor house made of concrete.

Nope, I never loved her.

Love and Respect? Yes. They faced hardships like surviving WW2/the Holocaust, being a single mother, dealimg with emphazima, etc. Does this mean they are infaliable? Once I got older I noticed some biases and stereotypes they held, being suprised they met a nice black person or not trusting German or Polish people/products (understandable given the circumstances).

Point is, sometimes elders offer great insight from experience, other times they babble on about how the neighbors secretly hate them or how music made after the 1950s is terrible.

Um... DUH! That's what the elderly expect. My grandpa on my dad's side is dead, but not the one on my mom's side. In fact, both my grandparents on my mom's side are still alive.
