Wikipedia says that most of the world's tantalum is mined in Australia, only ~1% comes from the Congo.
Take with the usual grain of salt you would anything from Wikipedia of course |

The militias will always find something to fund themselves as long as companies continue to ignore how their materials are produced. Luckily, there are other sources of Tantalum (especially Australia), and they make up the majority of production. |

Australia's purpose is to hold as much dangerous wildlife as possible (Tasmanian devil, Blue-ringed octopus, Australian funnel-web spider, Redback spider, Dingo, etc), thus keeping it away from the rest of the world. Even the damn Platypus is able to produce Venom and Koala's claws can seriously maim someone. |
