I wouldn't say it's a crush, seeing as how zooming RBD causes most colts' wings to flare
if nothing else out of caution that she's going to crash into them or cause some other disturbance and they're just having their wings at the ready, much like how a human will put his hands up in front of his face |

^ So it's like the raised hoof thing then? In that when horses are startled it's best for them to be ready to either run away or kick you in the face, I guess and that's the way the reflex evolved. |
