It would be a ver risky gamble indeed, but considering how FiM was a risky gamble from the beginning, I think they could pull this with flying colors. Derpy carrying the Doctor essence in a fobwatch, the cowardly stallion we saw so far was living under the name of Mr. Smith, a cosmic crisis forces Derpy to carry the Doctor's last instructions and return the watch to him, restoring him to normal, etc. Extra points if the TARDIS is introduced as a hot air balloon, which seems big enough to carry just two passengers, but during the final escape scene, the Doctor kicks the mane 6 inside and they discover the balloon's basket can carry everyone and they still have plenty of space to move around. |
