Coincidence that I just went yesterday and plan to go back on the 15th of June because I'm an Annual Pass Holder?
BTW did you know a family had their child drown in the Castle's moat and sued for money saying that the wall/fence wasn't high enough? They won the case but later the judge slashed that money in half saying that they were were half responsible for looking after the child. |

Disney (or their Security dep) has a vendetta against Roxas or Sora. For real they hate Kingdom Hearts for some reason. |

it's like a place that tries to give people a fun experience are just a bunch of complete assholes when someone is killed or severely injured even though they have safety regulations. |

The funny thing is ChuggaaConroy mentioned Disney accidents in i's video yesterday. |

What i'm saying is that when someone is harmed at an amusement park, people are quick to blame the park. sometimes these things are out of the parks power. i'm just saying it's not 100% the parks fault these things happen but they are responsible for keeping the rides as safe as possible. |
| Bongo #1485419 1 week ago |
@DaisyHead
Totally agree, me being a large Disneyland Fan over here. For example, everyone knows about that huge Big Thunder Mountain incident when a man died in the accident, correct? It was because of poor maintenance. Why was the ride under poor maintenance? Because of the then head of Disneyland Paul Pressler (A person greatly despised by the Disneyland community. More on that later.) Basically, Paul was the head of GAP before and had no experience in theme-park management what-so-ever. When he came to Disneyland, he started cutting costs and shutting down rides. Attractions were in great disrepair, paint was peeling, and the overall quality of the park just degraded into nothing. The only thing Paul did was increase merchandising. Stores stopped offering unique items only sold at that vendor and started selling cut-and-paste products. He was also responsible for the cheaply and hastily put together California Adventure. In total, he was a BAD person to be put in charge of Disneyland. Anyways, in his cutting of money, he cut maintenance costs, explaining rides in disrepair. All that finally led up to the big crash on Thunder Mountain resulting in the loss of a man's life. It wasn't the park's fault, no. It was fine and jolly; a place for families to be together and have fun. It's just the idiotic bigots in charge that are (most of the time) responsible for such things. Luckily, the park is in good hands after merging with PIXAR. Things sure have taken a turn for the better. |

PS: Any accidents from the early 1990's to the early/mid 2000's due to poor maintenance can most likely be blamed on Paul Pressler. |

People die everywhere. If you really want a legitimate claim about poor conditions at Disneyland, follow Braeburn's link up there. |

@Jack-O-Lantern
If you do, they might ask you to change out of it, guests might mistake you for a Disney employee. I find that news story of the bratty teenager crying her eyes out because they wouldn't let her into the park dressed as tinker bell hilarious. |
| Bongo #1485508 1 week ago |
Big Thunder Mountain IS open, you know that right?
@Feral Poor conditions? Let's divulge into that Cracked article, shall we? The underwear is needed as it's part of the costume. Uncomfortable, yes, but it's all the same as wearing any other piece of clothing such as a show or coat or hat that they supply. Flashing guests cannot be controlled, but their pictures can. And Flasher hunters weren't stopped entirely. People still cycle through pictures before they're put up on the electronic boards at the end of the ride for viewing to check for flashers. It's just now integrated into the cast member's job working on Splash Mountain. Same thing with cremations. They cannot stop guests from pouring their ashes all over rides and such. Besides, Disney has procedures and clean up crews to handle the situations. Did you read a bit into the cats? Disney keeps the, as the Los Angeles Times states; "But instead of evicting the cats, Disneyland's animal wranglers work to control the feline population by spaying and neutering the adult cats and finding homes for all kittens born in the resort. The cats eat at five permanent feeding stations installed throughout the two parks. "We are not trying to get rid of them," said Gina Mayberry, manager of Disneyland's Circle D ranch, where the park's animals are housed. "They keep the rodent population down." (http://articles.latimes.com/2010/may/02/business/la-fi-cover-disney-20100502) The Yippie invasion was not Disneyland's fault. It was a bunch of blithering idiots ruining the fun for everyone else. Gay Days. Something wrong with gays? How is that even a poor condition? Legitimate claim about Poor Conditions? The only one I sort-of see as poor is the clothing, but that's part of the job, and that's still within standards. As for the cats, they're checked and such. How do I know this? I know an engineer on the Disneyland Railroad (We've become friends. Long story about that). He says that cats are looked at by cast members. How else would they properly give them names? They would notice if something was wrong with the cat and such. And you do know no one should take Cracked too seriously, right? Well, I did, but that was to prove a point. |

Never been so 'upset' at someone to do that until now. You really did get me straight into the heart, and the feeling is absolutely and utterly bewildering to me. |

It think it would be funnier if you haven't give so much details about it,like..
"Disneylandia is the "happiest"place on earth" "A girl called Deborah Gail died in the "american sings"attraction,disney closed attraction for 2 days long" I know it still not right make a joke about it,but.. |

| Bongo #1485627 1 week ago |
Oh, you're going back as well?
I was hoping to catch a ride on the Red Car Trolley in California Adventure and nothing else, but due to the lines of people out front, I decided to just stay in Disneyland and hope California Adventure sucks up the crowds, leaving the park a little quieter than usual. Then again, with the refurbishments up and down Main Street as well as the reopening of the brand new Matterhorn, I expect Disneyland to be crowded with many hardcore Disneyland Fans |

@Bongo
Honestly, I never meant to imply that Disney was had poor conditions. I just thought it would be interesting to know what happens/has happened at "The Happiest Place On Earth". The Yuppies were Stoned and out of line and kinda deserved what they got.
And some guests are just assholes Wikipedia does have a list of accidents that have occurred at Disney locations. Some are Disney's fault On December 24, 1998, a heavy metal cleat fastened to the hull of the Sailing Ship Columbia tore loose, striking one cast member and two park guests. One of the guests, a 33-year-old man from Duvall, Washington, an employee of Microsoft, died of a head injury. The normal tie line, an inelastic hemp rope designed to break easily, was improperly replaced for financial reasons by an elastic nylon rope which stretched and tore the cleat from the ship's wooden hull. Disney received much criticism for this incident due to its alleged policy of restricting outside medical personnel in the park to avoid frightening visitors, as well as for the fact that the employee in charge of the ship at the time had not been trained in its operation.After this incident, Disney reinstated lead foremen on most rides and the Anaheim police department placed officers in the park to speed response. This accident resulted in the first guest death in Disneyland's history that was not attributable to any negligence on the part of the guest. California's Division of Occupational Safety and Health investigated the incident and found fault with the training of the park employee who placed the docking line on the cleat. The cleat was not designed to help brake the ship and the employee should have been trained to recognize when the ship was approaching too fast. Ride procedures called for the ship's captain to reverse the ship if it overshot the dock and re-approach the dock at the correct speed. Disney was fined US$12,500 by Cal/OSHA and settled a lawsuit brought by the victim's family for an estimated US$25,000,000. But Most are not. Hell, there are even reports of people making things up so the could sue Disney. "In 1976, a woman filed a lawsuit claiming one of the Three Little Pigs ran up to her at the It's a Small World attraction, grabbed at and fondled her while exclaiming "Mommy! Mommy!" She claimed to have gained 50 pounds as a result of the incident and sued Disney for $150,000 in damages for assault and battery, false imprisonment and humiliation. The plaintiff dropped charges after Disney's lawyers presented her with a photo of the costume, which had only inoperable stub arms." And it should be noted that accidents are to be expected at large theme parks. Universal, Six Flags, and SeaWorld have there own fair share of debacles |

Fair enough, and I'm sorry to have made you upset. I failed to delve as deeply into the situation as I could have, and I apologize for that. The point I'm really trying to get at is that people die everywhere, and you can't discount a place as huge and popular as Disneyland just because of an accident here or there. It's like (not to sound like I'm lowering the significance of death) someone complaining about a bug in a restaurant. There are bugs everywhere, all the time, and if you avoid places because of it, you'll have nowhere to go. |
