All hail the God Empress of Ponykind! |
| WatermelonRat #1484126 1 week ago |
That's actually a pretty good explanation. |

"Princess" means "Queen" by one definition.
Why does no one actually look up these words when they think it's being misused? |
| CallMeAl #1484136 1 week ago |
She doesn't get treated as a normal pony anyway. |
| picard #1484145 1 week ago |
Actually, she's just a princess because she's still a virgin.
A more than 1000 years old virgin! |

What's the source? |
| Anonymous #1484148 1 week ago |
@Al
That's the point. A higher title would make it even worse. |
| Anonymous #1484149 1 week ago |
@146 It appears to be an edit of this comic:

Makes sense. Still doesn't do her much good though. |
| Jack-o-Lantern #1484207 1 week ago |
@picard
Molestia would disagree with you. |

I'll be sure to add that to my head canon, along side the fact that the position of Queen of the Ponies is already taken by the mother of Celestia, Luna, Ponykind, Equestria, the sun, the moon, Equestria, and pretty much everything else...
...yes, her name is Faust, from the ancient draconian phrase "Fauin Stalra" meaning "First Light". |
| FanOfMostEverything #1484221 1 week ago |
I see it as a form of respect to her mother. Though she may be in absentia, the throne is still hers. Celestia is merely ruling in her stead. Like Vetinari and the king of Ankh-Morpork[/headcanon] |

I think beings like Celestia and Luna are comparable to pharahos. They are both goddesses and ruler of their kind.
But anyway a princess can be perfectly the highest rank of a ream: princedom is a government born in the royal empire inwhich the "princeps" was the highest in charge. And later many other kind of princedom were born and some still exist in this era. A princess is not necessarily a queen to be, or someone that is under the service of a king/queen. |

Anonymous@1484408 said: She was just born an alicorn. That's it. Pony genetics. Or maybe, she was suppose to be a Queen, but hasbro said no. The End. |
| ARGH #1484584 1 week ago |
She's a princess because "Queen" doesn't seem to make sense for selling a children's toy according to Hasbro. Lauren Faust wanted her to be a queen, but they said no.
Her title as "princess" is a facade |

There can only be one queen, but there can be many princesses |
