Actually as far as I understand, Fluffle Puff and fluffy pony were two unrelated things originally that appeared separately and independent of each other around the same time. They even had separate tags here on Ponibooru and probably still do.
Some people mistakenly associate them, and indeed fluffy ponies have by now borrowed some if mixermikes' characteristic, but if you pay attention mm's are different in both overall intent and design. (bigger, more robust, etc.) |
