I had a totally weird dream about me and my girlfriend fighting off bandits with a pair of flare guns. We both ended up catching fire, when it turned out that one of the bandits had a flare gun too. Magically, the fire turned her hairstyle into a cool short spiky punk looking deal.

brony = fan of the show You can try to distance your self by trying to give it a negative connotation and then pretend people aren't talking about you when they bash bronies, but that's what it has always meant. Although, I agree the smug holier-than-thou attitude some bronies have is annoying (not that you comment was chock full of humility.) And there is definitely some context missing.This action does seem extreme, but I need some type of context. What murder/suicide are they talking about? Why do they suspect this guy? That's the problem right there. Don't just assume that all bronies fanatically follow the love and tolerance thing. I've never used it to define my place in the fandom, nor have I seen anyone here use it. Really, the only time love and tolerance come into the picture is when people use it to portray us as hypocrites and assholes, such as the gentleman in the image. I've got plenty of friends and family that find ponies annoying, and I couldn't give less of a fuck about it. I didn't make anybody kill themselves, I didn't push an agenda on anybody, and I don't think anyone else here did either, but I get caught in the flak because some asshole is too stupid to understand that a few facebook commenters couldn't possibly represent millions of people. I'm a brony, and I don't love and tolerate everything, because loving and tolerating everything is fucking stupid. |

Yes, because no one on the internet has ever been cruel, reactionary or vicious before the existence of MLP:FiM. Also, condemning an entire group by the actions of a section of it is an entirely rational and reasonable thing to do.

I'm sorry, but how is this different than typical kid-hangs-himself news comments, and how are FIVE people supposed to represent MILLIONS of Bronies? Furthermore, only one of these people made racist remarks, and only one of these people made it seem like they only care because the victim was a MLP fan. We're freaking humans, we DIFFER. Some people call pain for the bully of someone who suicide and they are call stupid idiot and psychothic.
Calling death treat is never good but it become so common both in and outside the fandom that it's hard to be judgemental against those who made them anymore. The bullying seem to be relate to mlp according to the second last comment making the show reference relevant. And this bob thompsen who seem to be the op since his comment is highlight is as bad as them for his speach against all fans (the black and red one on the right, if he just give the generic haters comment he don't deserve this text). |
