@Spiffy. Maybe not. Check the actual animation: there's a spot during the aria when Chrysalis is singing, that there is a mirror in the background. The mirror image has closed yes, but in the foreground Cadance/Chrysalis has open eyes.
Or I could be wrong, and she has one eye open (towards the audience), and the other eye closed (towards the mirror). |

@Anon8891, That's an Animation Error. This could be an drawing error also on the artist part, but strange that it's not caught so easily, considering how much effort was put into this drawing, you'd think the artist would notice it. |

I don't see the problem with the reflection. Just imagine you're standing to the right of someone looking in a mirror, like the "camera" is here ... they'd "look right" and the mirror image would "look left". And it's a cartoon. |
