@Yorec I was about to point that out.
This has been happening for a while. A lot of articles hav explicit rules against putting real life examples (to avoid flame wars, despite ConversationOnTheMainPage being against the rules and a rule about CautiousEditingJudgement that says to keep out biased words or your own viewpoints in edits.) Then they got rid of Troper Tales because of weird personal stories that they thought made the site look bad. They've even had to succumb to moral guardians in a small way, tho it wasn't their fault. (Google Ads doesn't like NSFW material, and is quikk to pull ads off an entire site for one page that mentions something bad, they had to setup a special system to keep the NSFW parts of the site hidden from Google Ads). |

Basically, TVTropes is slowly cutting off its own limbs because of outside pressures and cautious insiders. Eventually I think they'll undergo huge purges of pages for notability, even taking out actual trope pages. |
