There's still a chance that this Discord is one of the good guys. But so far every other character was pretty close to his/her counterpart from the show. What are the odds that Discord is the only character with a different personality? So yeah, I still belive he's EVILLLLLLLL and just trying to screw up Luna/ Celestia big time.
Also, what happend to the real Cadence? I almost fear that this Chrysalis avoided any lose ends and just killed her. |

Chaos ≠ evil
It's possible to act in a way that is both chaotic and benevolent. Furthermore, it's clear that this universe is not a perfect parallel of the canon one. I, for one, trust this Discord. Somewhat. At the very least, I trust him more than his canon counterpart. |

He's in it for the amusement, not the brutality. Nightmare Moon, if she gets her way, will turn the world into a ball of ice, dead dead dead. And that's not very fun. |

Making him the exposition fairy in this scene makes this Discord look maaybe a tad too sensible here, but I still like this different take. With the hint of smugness, past grudge and the Hannibal Lecter thing going on (I'm locked away and a villain, but you still rely on me) I think things won't end here.
But! I actually want him to see him succeed as a reliable help, at least for the nex few strips. The villain just revelaing that he had a hidden agenda so that you can skip to the the good guy bashes bad guy part is a cheap ploy. I think 7nights has more interesting concepts in mind. By the way, two things I'll never stop adoring are 1. braces Luna (and her jacket), 2. how well the "steely" theme from pony!Nightmare Moon was converted into dress pieces and sword. |

I know I’m not the best writer and a lot is unclear, so here are some answers to a bunch of questions I’ve gotten recently. Yes Celestia was defeated easily. Discord told her she’d gone soft earlier, and Chrysalis only revealed herself because she knew she had enough love to defeat her. When Luna goes into EXTREME NIGHTMARE MODE HD REMIX she turns day into night. It then reverts back to normal when she’s knocked out (it’s day when Discord talks to her) Discord showed up because Celestia asked him to be there. He was probably hiding out in the stained glass or something. He and Celestia have a brittle alliance formed around preventing Luna from becoming Nightmare Moon, which you can see beginning to be formed here. Celestia stops Luna from killing Chrysalis for two reasons. One, because she prefers to rule more fairly, and executing someone right there would be pretty brutal. But more importantly, if Luna killed Chrysalis, would she be able to return from being Nightmare Moon? Celestia would rather Chrysalis live than risk Luna becoming Nightmare Moon again. Things obviously happened differently than in the show. Twilight doesn’t play a role in the Human Luna wedding, so she doesn’t rescue the real Cadence. Don’t worry, I didn’t forget her, I’ll address that after the hiatus. Luna’s hair changes because magic. She can choose to have it like that without being NMM I hope that clears up some confusion |

Knowing Discord, depending how much 7Nights is limiting Discord(he is still very powerful, but maybe not downright to reality warper like the original), and how much powerful Nightmare Moon is, I see a few different scenarions...
Option A: Discord is more powerful than Nightmare Moon, but sees NMM as either a potential minion or a potential ally, most likelly a minion, as for that he would need NMM to be unleashed under specific circunstances to be controlled. Option B: Discord is weaker than NMM, and wants to have her power to him, likelly to come back to bite his ass. Of course, odds are I am completelly wrong on either, it is just my mind is hardwired to not trust Discord, in any situation, but as he said himself, that's the nature of chaos, can't be predicted. |
