Op here, slipping in a short chapter in between some Real Life Shenanigans.

Next chapter will involve Fluffy Ponies brutalizing each other, and then some archery moments from the Farmer. If you are squeamish .... well you'd best skip that chapter then.

Somewhat average. I don't think I'll continue reading more of it.

Good luck with it, Giant_Neckbeard.

@Cyrus I agree.

I'm also interested in seeing the farmer use that crossbow.
It might result in a fluffy-shishkebab.

My god.
They can eat inside of tree bark?
Once again, great work neckbeard.

Certain trees, such as Pine Trees, have a thin layer of edible bark that is constantly renewed, much like Human skin.

As the Bark ages, there is new bark growing on the underside, absorbing larger amounts of nutirents, which results in the outside layer of bark drying up and dying off, forming a hard, bitter-tasting surface that keeps animals from eating the tree's fresher bark.

One of nature's little wonders.

Also, I doubt a 'natural' fluffy would know this. I think Project: Gypsie is going to do more harm than good in the long run (SUBTLE HINT HINT NUDGE NUDGE WINK WINK!)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pine

Some species have large seeds, called pine nuts, that are harvested and sold for cooking and baking.
The soft, moist, white inner bark (cambium) found clinging to the woody outer bark is edible and very high in vitamins A and C. It can be eaten raw in slices as a snack or dried and ground up into a powder for use as a thickener in stews, soups, and other foods, such as Finnish pine bark bread (pettuleipä). Adirondack Indians got their name from the Mohawk Indian word atirú:taks, meaning "tree eaters".
A tea made by steeping young, green pine needles in boiling water (known as "tallstrunt" in Sweden) is high in vitamins A and C.

YOU JUST GOT LEARNED!

I guess you mean harm for people and not for fluffies.

Mmmm. Fluffies will start to really hit the trees hard, given that there's barely any grass or berries around for them to eat.

And I've always seen Fluffy Ponies as a 'Monkey See, Monkey Do' sort of attitude. If they see something done, they'll try it themselves, usually played up for the sake of hilarity.

That said, Project: Gypsie Fluffy Ponies have been taught to find food that Feral Fluffies would ordinarily walk past or turn their noses up at from first glance. It will be very interesting to see how the Feral Herds handle haffing these Fluffy Messiahs in their midst.

Neckbeard, you are truly one of the best when it comes to fluffy stories. One request though? When you post the next story, could you not put in the tag "gore"? I don't want to miss the next chapter because some people don't know how to not be crazy about blood and junk.

Neckbeard, what ever happened to the Fluffy that was in the Sarah facility, with his sister and that wanted to warn to other fluffs about the human activities?

Nails and Sissy? They're still there.

The Fluffies of Project: Gypsie were split into 4 groups.

Group A) Has been released into the forest near the Farm, hopefully to mingle and intergrate into the Herds there, but that's in the next chapter.

Herds B & C) They were released into the deeper forest, near the Herds that ran away from the Farm after the disastrous Haybale Maze incident. Group B got accepted immediately into the Herd, Group C ended up taking over their Herd.

Group D) is basically the 'backup' unit. If any one of the other groups gets wiped out, the Scientists will release them to the appropriate area so that their Data-Collection will continue relatively unhindered.

Nails and Sissy are part of Group D, which is mostly Ferals with five or so Fluffy Ponies from the Original Group, all of whom are being bombarded non-stop by the training videos to bring the Ferals up to the same relative levels of survival techniques.

Of course, Nails isn't exactly a novice at survival himself .....

Oh crap. Those interns are planning to retrieve the B and C herds. I can see this is going to be bad.......

And the farmer's gonna hafta give that crossbow of his a workout it seems. Another full-on war is about to occur, thanks to each Smarty Friends' lack of forethought at seeing the obvious inevitable result of the trade......

I'm a little surprised the farmer hasn't done something to mark out "his" fluffies yet.
He's obviously memorized a few of their names and appearances, but if they get mixed up with one of the invading herds picking them back out would be an ordeal at best. It wouldn't even need to be something painful, like ear tags or branding. He could just slap a blotch of colored paint on the side of each of Cloud's herd and save himself a lot of potential trouble.

Good part. Odd that the farmer leaves the dead fluffies in the fence, there was enough respect for a burial earlier on.

The Farmer (almost wrote Falmer there ....) hasn't actually been outside of the back yard since the Feral Herds broke the fences and came onto his property.

When he sees them, there's going to be some shenanigans....
