Kinda.

A human's (or any animal) first instinct of something new is to avoid it. If it has enough power and understanding of the beast, it will attempt to either kill it entirely or domesticate it, but since the ponies are sapient, it would be more akin to slavery. Depending on how progressive we are, we'll spend a few decades, maybe shorter maybe longer, doing this until we realize what we're doing and gradually start to become more egalitarian.

On the other hand, if the ponies demonstrate superior power, than we'll grovel rather pathetically that we won't die or be slaves. They won't do this, but we wouldn't know. We'd be somewhat subservient to them early on, but we'd be co-habituating soon enough.

Sure, but we would be corrupting their very existence.

Bronies would be the only people to treat them right.

Just because someone isn't a brony, doesn't mean they're a bad person or that they'll treat a living creature any different than a brony would. Heck, plenty of bronies would probably mistreat the ponies, for whatever reason.

I would feel very, very sorry for the mane cast (and some other ponies) due to the massive amount of stalking/attempted murders/sexual harassment/etc. they would receive

Not much else for me to say on that matter

Considering so many celebrities deal with the same, they'll be fine.

I meant as a flight or fight thing. Animals will just ignore something if they're not hungry for it.

In China, if young children see interesting hair, usually a foreigners, they have a desire to touch it.

I'm just saying, while I have no doubt that there will be humans avoiding or hating the ponies, I can easily see various humans attempting to be friends and help the ponies.

I know what you mean, but exotic hair isn't really the same as sapient horses with wings lol.

Very true.

In America's military right now, we've started using robots. We don't have Terminators (yet), but those are machines, doing work for humans. True, sometimes they have human watches or supervisors, or such, but here's my favorite part.

Human soldiers are becoming attached to those machines. They care about them. They give them names. Ranks. Medals even. One troop mourned the loss of his friend.

Granted, I am cynical enough to see this as humans being treating the robots well so we can avoid a human/robot war, but I feel like it is somewhat comparable to the ponies. Not completely, of course. But these are humans treating entirely new things, like friends and allies.

I simply believe that peace is achievable. Easy? Hell no. Will there be bloodshed? Probably. But could we do it? YES.

If those who have humanxpony fantasy meet ponies that can go with inter-species too, we'll have to expect riots cause many would never be able to accept that.

But when it's only discovering each other I'll go with op by thinking it will work for most who are willing to make an effort to see their utility and their quality. But on the other hand, I think that we, brony, will blindly trust in them even if we know that mean ponies do exist.

Oh, I have no doubt that machine empathy exists.

Heck, I get concerned when certain NPCs in my favorite games get hurt.

I don't consider myself a cynic by any stretch of the imagination. A look at our history shows that integration is possible through sacrifice, knowledge, and at least some sort of allophilia.

Yeah, it wasn't until a few centuries ago that we realized slavery as a whole was bad, but that just means progress will come at a faster rate.

For your robot kingbeat I alway consider that robot machine war would be ridiculous just because the machines doesn't know greed or envy so they have no reason to destroy us.

But I must say that I play a video game and notice the program teach to the computer that nuke a million ennemy worth 2 point when loosing a million of his pop made loose one. That way if we fight everybody have good score according to the computer so it may conclude that fighting is good but if we teach them the opposite(-2 for our casusalty +1 for destrution), everyone would have negative score at the end and it will conclude that fighting is senslees for everyone.

I apologize that came out wrong. You and I seem to agree on the same thing, so I apologize if anything I said came out wrong.

Like I said, I believe humans can learn to work with ponies, with a combination of hard work, tolerance on both sides, understanding of different cultures, and an urge to work together. Easy? No. Possible? Yes.

I guess someone would find out that eating little pony meat grands beauty and long life and then we start eating them all.

Maybe a few ponies gets hidden by people who believes its wrong to eat them or gets hold to breed and then eaten.

Perhaps, but both species would have to do a lot of growing up first.

It should be noted here that humans and ponies ALREADY coexist peacefully in the real world. At least I certainly hope so.

Hardly matters anyway, since it's flat-out never going to happen.
Ever.
