I honestly don't set out to write stories this long. I just start writing the story, and it ends up taking this long to tell it.
How many stories are there about runts being rejected? Tons
How many stories are there about runts surviving? Not enough.

Oh cool, I enjoyed the other two stories in this series, and this one is just as good. I'm glad you're continuing the story.

Hmmm; you gave a good explanation for Ezekiel understanding a lot, but the mare seems a bit too smart as well.
Either way...well done.

@Evil
I know what I'm going to write about next in this story, but I can't say when it will be out.

@Ginger
How so?

@Danuis
>Give Ezekiel a bath.
>He resists the entire time.
>First time you've ever heard a fluffy swear before.
>By the end, his fluff is completely soaked and dripping.
>Ezekiel looks up at you indignantly.
>"Change mind. You bad hooman, gif yukky bafs."
>"Look on the bright side, Zeke. Now you smell pillowy fresh!"
>"Piwwow deze fwuffy nuts, hooman."

^ The mother has an epiphany, and realizes she has acted wrongly. That level of logic just seems a little too complicated for a fluffy pony.
I do not dispute the idea that changing a foal's smell would change the mother's reaction to it, but I think her reaction would be a whole lot simpler...just accepting the foal as if it had always been there.

>Brutalizing a mother just for following instinct would be awful.

Becausing unrustling one's jimming by raping wymenz and murdering other guys who challenge your dominance in the workplace should both go completely unpunished, amirite? BECAUSE INSTINCT EXCUSES ALL SINS, AMIRITE?!

Fluffy Ponies are toys with the intelligence of people (albeit really stupid people) and they should be punished as such. Also, pets are disciplined even when they follow their instincts, so not doing it to fluffy ponies is downright stupid.

Broccoli was a much better rejection correction story. This was nothing more than hugboring luvfaggotry.

I'm getting tired of runt stories.
Don't get me wrong, this isn't badly written or anything, there's just too many of these.
Whatever happened to fluffsplosion?

^Well, nothing happened. Wasn't Boomer born with fluffsplosion?

That was a great chapter, full of luv and actually pretty smart ideas for a fluffy story.

>fluffsplosion mention
>calling the fluffy with known gender "it"
>fluffies able to pronounce "r"
>bipolar faggotry (a bit less than in previous one, but still too much)
>dam has more than two teats
>runt rejection
>not punishing mother for that
>implying that feral fluffies understand the word "runt"

<sigh> The only fics shittier than this one belong to Giant_Neckbeard and our beloved abusefags

She thought she had made a mistake in identifying the baby as a runt. She isn't aware the owner masked the scent. But I see what you mean.

What is this? A story where the human not only doesn't kill the foals for his own amusement, but he instead saves them from a certain death? I thought we all were a bunch of bloodthirsty sickos.

Just got back home, had a goddamn busy day.
15 minutes of reading, 5 minutes of fridge thinking and I pretty much agree with @1469556 and @1469733 (this one got the score fucked up though: text says -10/10, pic says 0/10)

Less Mary Sue crap, but still a lot of mishaps

Forgot to add my 25 cents: masking scent will wear off soon enough, leaving foal smelling like "bad babbeh"

Actually, I wonder about that.

Don't forget that the Runt will have had a lot of contact with the mother and the other foals as well, which would help to 'mask' the scent.

The actual 'scent' of the Runt is something of a mystery, possibly a bitter scent judging by the Dam's behaviour. It's also interesting that the Runt is always the last Foal to come out, possibly meaning that like Dog and Cat litters, the last Pup/Kitten/Foal is the one that had the weakest connection to the placenta, hence the smaller size due to deprivation of nutrients during gestation.

Also, don't forget that outside, the 'odor eater' will be unlikely to get washed off, and the gradual 'decay' of the fake smell will be slow to disappear.

That lack of size could also have a chemical effect, causing the baby to smell 'off' somehow. I've seen a Dog accept her runt before happily, but then she was the dumbest, happiest animal I've ever seen, spoiled absolutely rotten with bones and toys and played with constantly.
Golden Retrievers are the Derpy Hooves of the Dog World, I am positive.

Once eating regularly, the Runt is likely to grow, and while unlikely to be as big as it's siblings, will still likely be an 'average' Fluffy in the end. It might smell 'strange' during the first few days, but once it gets a belly full of milk and starts to get the mother's anti-bodies running through it's system, the Foal is likely to go to one of two ends.

End 1: Foal grows up to be a slightly-smaller-than-average Fluffy Pony.

End 2: The Foal dies due to under-developed organs not working as intended.

>Runt will have had a lot of contact with the mother and the other foals as well, which would help to 'mask' the scent.

Plausible. Hard to tell for sure

>odor eater' will be unlikely to get washed off, and the gradual 'decay' of the fake smell will be slow to disappear.

If fluffies continue hugging or mother will decide to lick foals, scent will come off sooner than expected

Still, being intolerant douchebag I am (or just too "eye for an eye" person), I would have impaled the dam with screwdriver (I wonder if anyone gets the reference)

i like this series, but i think that runt is going to have a hard life, once the scent washes off the fluffies will (in my cannon at least) go back to thinking its a bad baby and reject it, wich will probably lead to it dying.
wich is sad, but nature is a huge bitch..

There's a lot of debate regarding this, so I'm going to tell you all now: the owner resprays the baby every week or so until it reaches maturity. I didn't mention it in the story because I was going to mention it in later installments.
