Most of E3 was just cheap sequels and lazy rehashes. There was hardly any real creativity on display.

In an age of boring ass fps's like COD, Planetside 2 gives us persistent battles between 1000's of people (at one time). Massive tank columns, roving infantry units, the sky filled with aircraft and tracer fire, and some unfortunate TR dog getting stomped up an NC MAX units feet. Thats pretty creative if I do say so myself. |

I'm not trying to bash it, but it's like a spiritual successor to the Assassin's Creed franchise. Made by the same people too. That project didn't come out of thin air. It was a long time coming. That new Star Wars game looks great, but most people won't have the PC for it. I bet it'll be a next gen console title. |
