Damn it.

He's one of my favorite authors. One of the first books I read that got me into science fiction was The Martian Chronicles back in 6th grade. He's written so many seminal and wonderful books over the years. It's sad news indeed.

And another icon of Science Fiction returns to the stars. I've always felt that the Big Three of Sci-Fi should have been the Big Four -- with Ray Bradbury making up the fourth, of course.

I appreciate his work, but not really 'sad' about his passing. Anyone living past 80 is living a freakishly long life. Most people will struggle living past 75.
