Weeaboo was a name use to insult non-japanese fans obssesed with japan to the point of being fucking annoying (they think that japan is the best country in the world and curse it's not japanese blood) but over the time the meaning was corrupted into "you like something japanese (games, anime, culture)? WEEABOO!" |

True, but the 'original' spirit of the weeaboo wording is still relevant. Even ardent Japanese don't defend their own extremely corrupt and hideous mass media culture as much as the true blue weeaboos. |

You can have a non-hideous mass media culture? But, I agree with @RIG, weeaboo is a word that suffers from the "the more you say it the the less meaning it has" rule. It's not on the same level as "fag" (a word that has absolutely no real meaning anymore), but its still pretty bad. |
