Unless you perceive an influx of lesbo Dash or Fluttermac art as a message from the fanbase. The frequency of art determines the popularity based entirely on perception. |

Really sick of Rainbow Dash being portrayed as a lesbian, because if she were, she'd be a bunch of stereotypes packed into one Pegasus. I prefer to think of Applejack as the girl-liker in the Mane 6, because of the potential drama that comes with being gay in a Southern household. |

I don't think AJ turning out to be gay would be that big a deal, given that the Apple family is so prolific in Equestria and that Ponyville's branch seems pretty easy going about other's lifestyles. |

Heh, I've been a shipper for almost as long as I've been a brony, and I dont know about anyone else, but I'm more than happy to keep my fanon and canon very separate.
Its kind of necessary considering how many shipping pairs I like. |

When we say "canon", we mean "canon basis". There's something to go by. Fluttershy and Big Mac has never even been in the same screen together.
As for Dash lesbian ships. SoarinDash is kinda popular (and something I support). People just need to be more creative than "suspended together in midair". |

there have been so many ships, romantic pics, and 34 by now of every character that the Dash is lesbian thing isn't nearly as a prevalent as it was, especially like it was when the fandom started. |

Remember Hearts and Hooves and the shitstorm the Fluttermacers created and coming up with all kinds of rationalizations and other stuff to justify that Fluttermac is the way to go?
Also, Soarindash may be opening up some minds, but if Soarindash or any other straight RD shipping goes canon, manure will hit the fan with the lesbian Dash shippers. |

@9454: Nah, Rainbow Dash is clearly Wonderboltsexual. Shipping her with both Soarin and Spitfire, separately or at the same time, is quite acceptable. |

This was only really a problem with Hearts & Hooves when the Fluttermac shippers showed everyone that they took their ship WAY too seriously. |
