Candence really messes up the show's cosmology.
How hard would it have been to make her a unicorn? Could have left her with the same personality, color scheme, powers, princess title, everything. |

If Cadance aged along with Twilight and Shining why wouldn't she age here? Cadance isn't God-tier alicorn.

My Headcanon is that Cadence is not immortal, but still has an extended lifespan (500 years at least). Cadence won't look 80-ish until far later in her life. Her getting marriage to Shining makes me wonder if either of her aunts ever talked to her about the emotional pain of outliving those that you loved. |

I have a theory that Alicorns aren't born superpowerful, but instead have some sort of ascension ritual that makes them demigods. That's why Luna was gone for a year and came back different, it takes a long time to preform the ritual and learn to handle the power it grants properly. |
