Do you want to write the code that makes all that happen? Shimmie is a fragile amalgamation of PHP code and big changes are likely to break horribly.

The server's been upgraded multiple times. I would assume Eco has the money to hire someone temporarily to come on and code it.

Well if you use Ponibooru helper you can post comments without having to reload the page. Its quite useful actually.

But how would you even confirm that kind of thing? Maybe he's actually knee-deep in debt because of server stuff. Then again, I don't know, either.

Plus hiring someone and making sure they're actually competent and stuff is time-consuming, something Eco has said he doesn't have. Unless he has personal friends or favors.

Also, I think Yorec offers a better solution.

Yorec's "solution" is an external tool to put in features that should be in the site itself. And it still doesn't fix the tagging/ratings issues.

Eco really needs to make time if this site is going to continue. Not just for improvements, but fixing problems like what just happened recently.
I don't think he's in debt, considering he does get ad revenue with a somewhat large user base.

a.) The script is usable by what I would guess is the majority of users (Firefox and Chrome). If that's the case, then it doesn't really make sense to hound Eco about making these features intrinsic, since it's pretty much a lightweight user-centric solution. Granted, making them internal to the site would be nice, but to dismiss the Ponibooru Board Helper on the grounds that it's not the perfect solution is ridiculous.
b.) The taggings and ratings do change without the entire page reloading, at least on my end.

I don't think he's in debt, considering he does get ad revenue with a somewhat large user base.

And on the other hand, I don't think he has either the time or the money to commit or support Ponibooru more, or else Ponibooru would be in a better state.

I don't know his situation, but I don't think you do, either.

Wasn't this recent sluggishness and outage due to Dreamhost? There's not much Eco can do about that, except change hosts.

And in fact, I'm not sure there's been a major site problem that hasn't been attributed to DreamHost. Most everything else was server load, and Eco took care of that with some server upgrades (to ponibooru.org, and now with CloudFlare).
