So wait, how much defending does one have to do before it's considered too much?
Given what I've seen, by your logic you're trying too hard to demonize us. |
| Anonymous #1461535 3 weeks ago |
Troll: LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME
Bronies: Care to back up your claims? Troll: OMFG UR TRYING SO HARD TO DEFEND URSELF |
| Anonymous #1461607 3 weeks ago |
guys guys. were forgetting one simple fact at life. if you argue with a troll they win. let him chuckle in his seat at his post and move the fuck on with your own lives. to try to argue with the troll only proves his point further. |

@Saint_Braeburn wow way to be an asshole |

Attack someone. If they defend themselves, it's proof you are right. If they don't defend themselves, it's proof you are right. Nice way to win every argument. |

PONIBOORU, Y U NO WORK! I NEED MY FIX OF CUTENESS! |
| Anonymous #1461722 3 weeks ago |
Lol they are not trolls. I am a brony/pegasister but even I can see that the fanbase has gone too far, from being racist to just plain rude and annoying. If bronies "love and tolerate" so much, then why are you all acting like this now? |
| Edudl2 #1461727 3 weeks ago |
^It becomes trolling when they start making shit up and then spamming it on Ponibooru for days. |
| Anonymous #1461728 3 weeks ago |
great. This meme caused the site to crash. You happy? And there will always be crazy people in any fandom, don't act like this is the only one. |
| DoctorDreidal #1461744 3 weeks ago |
@722
I'll grant you that a few of these might have legitimate points, but that doesn't mean that the people making these aren't trolls. And if you want people to have a positive view of bronies/pegasisters, than why not do your utmost to behave the way you want people to perceive you rather than try to shame others? |
| JibberZen #1461757 3 weeks ago |
At least this shipment of fail trolls was slightly more amusing than that batch a weeks back when they half-assed their attempt at spamming gore images so bad that they just spammed pics of Al Gore.
They didn't even try to make any of that clever either. >.< I'm suspecting that the trolls we get here are all trolls that got ostracized from other trolling groups. |
| Anonymous #1461758 3 weeks ago |
what happened with this site anyway?

| Anonymous #1461768 3 weeks ago |
I pretty much admit the whole "love and tolerating manly bronies" is bullshit. This whole fandom seemed to be okay at first, but now It's equivalent to furries. Gore? Porn? Other fucked up shit? I mean, look at this site. It's degrading. |
| Anonymous #1461773 3 weeks ago |
@744
If the people who are making this are trolls, then we all have been trolled already. Look at all the fuss we are making out of nothing. I am not trying to make bronies/pegasisters look bad but I am merely just saying we need to calm down. The fanbase has already annoyed so many people, not to mention death threats over a pony for God's sake. |
| XXLPlakat #1461788 3 weeks ago |
I hope this isn't real. |
| XXLPlakat #1461791 3 weeks ago |
I mean... Why are you so butthurt about this meme? |
| DoctorDreidal #1461794 3 weeks ago |
@773
If we get trolled every now and then, so what? It's not the end of the world; you win some, you lose some. Nothing to do but pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep going. >I am not trying to make bronies/pegasisters look bad I didn't say you were, at least I don't think I did, but maybe I misspoke. My point here is that actions you - and I - find distasteful, however common or uncommon they may be, if they happen at all, are committed by individuals, not the "fanbase". Being part of a group doesn't mean that you sign away any ability to think for yourself and have to accept the morals of that group lock, stock and barrel. We are not the Borg, we don't have any kind of hive-mind, and just because a few people think that being raving lunatics is okay doesn't mean that others agree with them. Look at it this way: do you hold all Christians responsible (To anyone reading this, I'm not trying to start a fight, I'm only illustrating a point) because of the bigoted displays of the Westboro Baptist Church? Do you think that, as long as their protests continue, that every other church agrees with them and/or is guilty of doing the same? And if someone is willing to judge every single one of us as bad, based solely on their own experience or anecdotes from others, why should you or I or anyone else care about what they have to say about us? Why give their negative opinion any meaning? Look, some of us are assholes, I admit that, but it doesn't fall on everyone else to appease the offended, it's the offender's responsibility to make amends, it's this little thing called "Personal accountability" that escapes people who like to point their fingers and say "YOU'RE WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS!!" If after reading all this, anyone still thinks that the entire fandom has to pay for the mistakes of people beyond anyone's control, I'd like to pose this question: Which of these is more horrifying to you; that we each behave as people that are not controlled by others and have no control over others, or that we surrender ourselves completely to a collective and forever forsake what makes you you? |
| Anonymous #1461867 3 weeks ago |
@794
Every fanbase has its pros and cons. There's the good side and the bad. Bronies are just one of them. There's Homestuckers, weeaboos and many more. However, I KNOW that there are sane bronies, you don't have to tell me that. Its just rabid bronies, like the meme was poking fun at, that make the rest of us look bad. When I see one making fun of the past generations of mlp or hating Yamino for having an opinion, I feel like I have to speak up. Fantards(bad) really need a good telling off sometimes. |

I agree, but I think I may not be being clear enough. Once again, actions are not committed by the collective, they are committed by the individual/s within that collective. And although these actions/beliefs/attitudes inspire some people to think poorly of us, it doesn't fall on fans like you and me to make nice with these people. The assholes willing to generalize us aren't worth our time. If you feel like taking an idiotic fan to task on something they think or do that you don't agree with, that's fine - I support that, but it should be because you have a disagreement with the person in question, not because you're worried about what people will think of the fandom - and by extension you -, nor should any of us feel responsible for the actions of others. As for this meme "only poking fun at the rabid bronies", you may be right, but forgive me if I don't feel the same way. No one made an effort to clarify that it referred to the outliers and not bronies in general, and when they were called on it, someone responded with "Oh, well it obviously doesn't refer to all bronies, just the 'rabid idiot ones', why are you all getting so upset? You wouldn't be getting upset unless you thought this was true of all of you." on one single image (that I saw), what's more, no effort was made at all to clarify that this is a satire against "R.I.Bs" after the fact was revealed, or even what qualifies someone as a "Rabid Idiot Brony", beyond any example of anyone ever doing something they don't approve of, as if behavior they don't approve of is necessarily bad. Either the people who made this meme have no idea how to communicate clearly, or they really are trolls. (Hell, maybe both) |
| Ananonymous #1461894 3 weeks ago |
@DoctorDreidal
>Either the people who made this meme have no idea how to communicate clearly, or they really are trolls. (Hell, maybe both) i've the same suspect, they're: a) deluded of being doing something helpful (with no results), b) relieving their frustration with no longterm plan (making them practically same as trolls) c) simply trolls, just looking for a reaction to feel satisfied only a) and c) are exclusive they may have started with a) and turned c) during the way, or there may have never been an a) to start with :/ surely acting this way they're not giving a good service to the "sane" ones calling themsefes "sane" |
| DoctorDreidal #1461904 3 weeks ago |
@894, or anyone willing to put up with more of my nonsense
While we're on the subject, what makes a brony "sane" or "rabid"? Because to me, it just seems like people are throwing these prefixes around as if we're all supposed to know exactly what they mean, like "sane" bronies are those who act in a way someone approves of, while "rabid" bronies act in a way people disapprove of. What if I want to define a rabid brony as a brony who disagrees with me? What makes my definition any more or less valid than anyone else's? What if I think someone like ProfessorOfHoers is "sane" while someone else thinks of him as "rabid"? |
| Edudl2 #1461907 3 weeks ago |
A sane brony knows when and where to talk about what (ProfessorOfHoers wouldn't post the things he says here on, say, EqD).
An idiot brony posts a link to porn of Lauren Faust's OC on her dA page (a select few people have managed to acquire this rank). A rabid brony goes around attempting to force his opinions of the show on others (a large number of people meet this quota, but not necessarily the majority). I made the first and third definitions intentionally ambiguous. There are also the oversensitive bronies (self-explanatory) and the unwilling bronies (like the show but don't want to be associated with the fandom, though they often are). There's often a lot of crossover between the two, and the ones that blunder into the darker parts of the fandom typically become the idiot bronies. That's my take on it, anyway. I suppose there are further subclassifications I could go into, but those cover the major ones I've seen. |
| DoctorDreidal #1461908 3 weeks ago |
@Edudl2
These definitions make sense (at least they do to me). Man, I cannot wait for this site to get back up and running. |
| RealityCheck #1461919 3 weeks ago |
of course, it's a catch 22. Pitch an accusation at someone, then, when they defend themselves,... "see! They're DEFENSIVE about it. Told you it was true!" |
| Anonymous #1461940 3 weeks ago |
Guy 1: "You're a faggot. I bet you like to suck dicks and take them up your pooper."
Guy 2: "No, I'm straight, and you're an idiot." Guy 1: "YOU'RE DENYING IT SO THAT MEANS IT'S TRUE TROLOLOLOLOL" Do you see the logical fallacy of this line of thinking? The severity of a denial does not "prove" that the accusations are true, only that the accusations are severe enough to provoke a response. I could accuse your mom of being a whore, but am I made correct if my accusation causes you to lose your temper? |
| Ananonymous #1461943 3 weeks ago |
@Edudl2
so... this would define the ones continuing this meme as possible rabid oversensitive/unwilling bronies? (at best, if they're even bronies, and not simply angry show fans or trolls) |
| Anonymous #1461951 3 weeks ago |
Oh hey, it's the exact same argument I've seen hundreds of times before. |
