How can anyone actually hate Celestia? That tyrant shit is pure fanon, and she's never done a single malicious thing.

I mean, I'm sure she's done some terrible things, but never for evil purposes. Utopia can only come at a terrible cost. She practically murdered her own sister for the sake of her ponies, after all... Heavy is the head that wears the crown. You can't lead a country as long as she has by being absolutely morally white.

well to be fair it's not truly hate more of extreme suspicion and slight dislike
I don't trust people who seem pure and I don't like what I don't trust...but this is partially joking I like her in the show I'm just stating how I'd feel if she were real

So Jesus totally wasn't trustworthy. Well, he did get crucified for his troubles.

I think that's what makes Celestia such an appealing character for me is that there's no possible way she could be happy. She does the same fucking thing every single day of her life unless it's a unique, one in a million occasion or some random fairy tale has become real and is plaguing Equestria. We know she can't bear children; If she wasn't sterile, she'd definitely have a few kids by now and we'd know about them. She can't really fall in love without hurting herself because pony lives are like matchflames to her. And she can't quit her job, because take away her power an authority and she's just a lanky freak. Ponies have demonstrated that they don't really take kindly to those who are different.

Yet in spite of that, she has demonstrated herself to be an absolute wonderful person that has always done good things for her people and has always strived to bring out the best in her subjects, and has shown that she is more than willing to put herself on the line for the safety of those she has sworn to protect, and despite the fact that life has so little to offer her at this point she offers everything in return, and has made what is basically a fucking death world (Ponyville is right next to Tartarus!) a utopia.

If you can bring yourself to hate someone like that, you're just a retard.

In my headconan, she sometimes need a break and yep, that's how I love Celestia/Molestia :P.

Most of that is confirmed or implied by canon, though. You can be miserable and have nobody know about it, you know. That rings close to home, my father NEVER reveals his feelings. He can be burning with all-consuming psychopathic fury, or he can be borderline suicidal, or he could be trembling with barely-contained ecstasy, and he'll be all straight-faced and all "no, that's ok, do what you like." But at the very least, the poor thing HAS to be bored out of her mind. Practically every day is the same for her.

...and while I'm at it, I'm positive Celestia knows that Twilight, who she loves very much, obviously, apparently headcanons very very hard that her mentor is a sadistic tyrant that will crucify her the moment she fails to live up to her lofty expectations.

Don't act so shocked if we actually see Celestia's children or something in the future.
