I hate having to say this every single time but Feminism in it's traditional and classical sense has many complex elements beyond just "equal rights" including ideas such as the patriarchy, gender normalcy, and more.
There are complex sociological issues and theories behind their underpinnings and various means and ways of identifying and rectifying these concerns. It's not just "Derp, girls are peoples too." |

Anyway any hate for feminists comes from this one article on a feminist site where the writer over-analyzes the show to hell while admitting she never really watched an entire episode.

Ah, Ms. Magazine. I'm a feminist myself and I have to say that while they say some spot on things sometimes, many, many other times they say embarrassing and stupid things.
Not just the My Little Pony thing. But like, where they were calling and interested in crooked teeth(yaeba) in Japan paedophilia, and people who kept crooked teeth or even got surgery to get it which sometimes happens, as servicing paedophilia. Instead of thinking "hey wow, maybe it's nice that some people don't actually need to have perfectly straight teeth and don't find crooked teeth ugly." It really stung of huge ethnocentrism in favor of Western culture. Most feminists know better than to imply that Western culture is superior to Eastern culture. But you still have embarrassments surface sometimes. |
