I'm trying to make a Human that, while not a flat out monster, doesn't see the Fluffy Ponies as anything more than a money-making device, or at least he's trying to keep that mindset.

$50 a pop, no thanks I'll just stick to the dime a dozen breeds, even if they're less death prone.
Wouldn't it be easier to just amputate the mares and teach the stallions to believe rape is good like martini so you don't have to waste money making the fluffies horny? It may make them more miserable, but it's means a faster and easier process and maybe more money.

1456382 here.
Also treating them like shit would make you less likely to grow attached to them. Big Man in the Martini stories is a good example for this.

I have a point to make about intelligence here.

Three and especially four year olds are observably far, far superior in intellect to your average fluffy pony which is actually more comparable to a child who recently turned 2.

These "intellect of a seven year old" alicorns are probably more comparable to a real life three year old.

I know because I both remember being three and know real three year olds.

Fluffy pony writers constantly insult human children in these comparisons which actually rather annoys me.

@ Anon #6382/#6387: Big Man and Frank also happen to be a pair psychotic H-Bombs just waiting to go off with a penchant for torturing hapless animals in front of each other.

Frank is, arguably, the bigger psycho of the two with his willingness to get oral sex from a Fluffy Pony and his glee at mutilating the Foals of another Mare just to torment her when she misbehaved, but both of them are perfectly willing to maim and gruesomely dismember their Fluffy Ponies in front of each other as a form of instilling a 'Humans are Top Dogs' mentality into the Breeding Fluffies, yet it still fails to stop the ferals they capture becoming disobedient, and they are getting to the point where they are running out of Fluffies and are having to rely upon Martini more and more to the point he may become their sole breeding stud.

And even Martini is getting sick of their shit.

@ Anon #6398: You make a valid point, but consider that the Females, whom are the only Fluffies the readers have 'met' at this stage, are basically 'reset' every two months with a one-week 'rest' period to recuperate after getting their memories 'reset'.

With a one month long pregnancy, and foals requiring at least one month to reach a stable level of growth they can be safely removed from their mother's care, that means every 10 or so weeks, the Mares have a live current running through their brains.

Being more highly intelligent than a 'baseline' Fluffy Pony and with a much more complex nervous system and brain, that much current, that regularly, has got to be making them a little bit scatter-brained, if not actually popping brain-cells.

Animals who live in an extremely high-stress environment start to develop some bizarre behaviours, and with animals like Fluffy Ponies and Fluffy Alicorns, both of whom have some rather unique memorization abilities, that could spell disaster to a breeder who is trying to market the pets as safe, well trained animals.

The other thing I forgot to mention in post #6464, is that the 'Breeder' Alicorns, both Studs and Dams, haven't been given any training above and beyond their 'duties'.

Dams (Mares) are taught to love their foals, feed them, play with them, clean them and tell them to be nice to Humans.

Studs (Stallions/Colts) are taught to, most importantly, never talk about the Mares, to be gentle to the Mares, to play nicely with them and to give them good Special Hugs.

Golden ... doesn't quite get the last part, but he is enthusiastic about his job, at least.

But, an Alicorn off the farm, raised and taught by people who loved them as Pets, not raised them as money-makers, would probably have a lot more success with the intelligence of the Fluffy Alicorn.

With their low-level TK (able to lift an Apple, at best, for a few minutes) and their higher intelligence, a Fluffy Alicorn should theoretically be able to have the run of the house, be able to use the litter tray, or could even be let loose in the backyard and be taught to use a watering can and tend the garden.

Frankly I'm getting sick of all this squabbling over intelligence.

The point is, typically, Fluffies lack common sense, have poor memory retention (unless reinforced by with trauma, repetition, or both), and are blissfully unaware of their own mortality or the mortality of their fellows.

These are all certainties, however level of comprehension seems to vary from Fluffy to Fluffy and many seem to have the capacity to improve

This is not my headcannon but rather an observation based on the fact that I've read nearly every Fluffy pony story on this site.

it seems to me that the biggest issue with fluffy ponies isn't their brains, it's their pathetically weak bodies.

How come the breeder didn't just reset all the mares instead of killing the baby stealer?

One of the things with this story is that Breeder Guy started as an amateur. Knew basically nothing about the critters except the company that made them.

Right now, he's competent, but the space between when he started and right now is full of accidents and mistakes.
