I honestly had higher hopes for this new care bears thing before I knew what it looked like, and I seriously doubt that it'll be good now. I will still give it a chance, though.

I have no fucking idea why Hasbro decided to go with a CG version for Care Bears. I bet if it was traditional animation or done using FiM's style, more people would give it a chance. With a few exceptions, CG humans = Uncanny Valley. Bad call, Hasbro.

^Because CG was all the rage back then and they wanted to cash in on it's popularity. And yes, that girl in the pic turns the Uncanny Valley dial up to 11 at least. I don't know how, but Reboot somehow did such a good job CGing humans despite how early of a CG show it was.

@Danieltepeskraus: because they spent years developing the character designs for ReBoot, and that girl was likely someone's college character design final exam...

That's wistful thinking that someone was still learning when designing that horribly disfigured human analog.
