Yes, news does not travel fast when you have a direct instantaneous line to the princess that you bring with you everywhere... It certainly can't be that when the wedding was decided, the threat had already been made before or after (in the thirty minutes it must take to get from Canterlot to Ponyville)-oh wait, that's why Shining couldn't tell Twilight about it in person. |

#1451756: At the very least, it would explain to Twilight why they hadn't received a letter and probably helped mobilize the Mane Six into finding the threat. |
