^ We saw Twilight struggling to turn a page and lift a book when she was little. It's pretty much established that while baby unicorns can produce uncontrolled bursts of magic, conscious control of it requires practice (rather like how human babies can naturally swim up to a certain age, but then have to consciously relearn it). |

You know one reason why I was kinda eeeeehhh as a fic is it showed that Trixie was just as proficient in magic as Twilight.
I see her as more only knowing the basics but putting some FLAIR into them. Advanced stuff is wholey beyond her though |
