Zoro;
"Hows about we just give you Nami to keep and you let the rest of us go?" |
| Anonymous #1449203 1 month ago |
^Molestia: interesting but the one with the unicorn nose can be used for my plot worship and the little one with the horns has a really "sweet" scent about him...
*Chopper and usopp passes out* |
| Tyrranux #1449373 1 month ago |
@1449137 Zoro: "Okay we'll also give you those two just please take Nami, PLEASE TAKE NAMI."
Molestia: "I'm sensing some hostility towards the one you refer to as Nami." Sanji: "She's a total raging dyke." |
| Anonymous #1449425 1 month ago |
@tyrranux sounds a little OOC on zoro's and waaaay out of left field on Sanji... Lol. Don't know if luffy would stand for even a powerful alicorn to take his friends, didn't stop him from stomping Enel's lightning ass. |

@1449425 Luffy: "YOU WILL NOT LAY A FEATHER, HORN OR HOOF ON ANY ONE OF MY NAMAKA!"
Celestia: "Even the one known as Nami?" Luffy: "PleasefortheloveofGodtakeNamibeforeIgoinsaneandcarveheartoutwitharustyspoon." Celestia: "And why are you so spiteful towards this Nami?" Luffy: "She's Ebenezer Scrooge with tits, bitch is always trying to rip us all off and hog all the treasure for herself. It's goddamn annoying." |
| Anonymous #1449496 1 month ago |
Well... Celestia be damned...
Granted Nami is hard to work and hay, live with, but at least she knows her stuff in navigation. I am still trying to find redeeming qualities of Sakura of Naruto, Asuka of Eva, Akane Tendo of Ranma and Kagome of Inuyasha. |

@1449496 their greatest mortal sin is not "Avarice"? |
| Anonymous #1452192 1 month ago |
Nami's avarice does not even compare to that of Lina Inverse of Slayers or maybe even Nabiki Tendo of Ranma 1/2...
The others, mostly their bitchy pride tends to more of an annoyance than their greed. |

@1452192 I never bothered with ther Slayers.
In any case it doesn't really matter how greedy Nami is but that the fact that her greed is actually what makes her intolerable. At least with Scrooge McDuck it's played off as a medium for much of the humor surrounding the character but with Nami it just makes her look like a two-faced whore. What's worse is the whole reason she became a money loving thief to begin with, Aarlong, who if I remember correctly was beaten hundreds of chapters ago. There is no real reason she needs as much treasure as she can get her hands on, it's just meaningless greed now. At the very least I would love to see a story arc where she is confronted about her greed in some way and through some fantasic trial finally stops being as greedy as she is, that would be a very interesting read to be sure. |

She should meet Discorded Rarity or switch brains with that Rarity if you feel. However... you have a good point and it goes to you. T_T |

^Tyrranux I will agree with you on Nami being greedy but given the fact of her upbringing she does place friends and family before money...
Reasons for her greed: #1 Poor upbringing, can't afford books or new clothes, desire to be rich/adopted by rich parents so her foster mother could be better off. Only by losing her foster mother and pressed into Arlong's group she has a skewed view of the world (made a promise to buy her home island, and worked from age 8 to 16 stealing loot from pirates, not an easy task, the greed is offset because she place the responsibility of her people onto herself). #2 Not only she is the Navigator but also the Quartermaster of the ship: She's tight with money due to the finances to the ship, she place lot of the loot they get to make repairs to the Merry Go during the Water 7 arc. Luffy is not money-smart, Zoro only went with money for food, liquor and swords, Sanji would spend on women, Chopper doesn't seem the type to be the treasurer type, which leaves only Usopp and Robin (although Nami is the first to recognize con artists trying to swindle them). Similar to Scrooge McDuck, while greedy, they do place generous qualities: Cases of Nami generosity: -Buying her island back from Arlong for the citizens -Giving her treasure to the victims during the Thriller Bark arc -Saving the money to repair the Merry Go when everyone forgotten that the ship needed maintenance -Attempted to buy Camie's (the mermaid) freedom during the human auction While her greed can be unbearable by some of her crew and her generosity would shock anyone, her does display that she does place her friends above money. The type of greed that is detestable, is the Marine officer who took bribes from Arlong, while Nami and her people were suffering and using his power to steal the money meant to buy the island from Arlong, while denouncing she is a thief and her island's citizens were harboring a thief. |
