Why could I see a scenario where Gilda and Rainbow Dash are lost in some foreign place with Scootaloo as... interesting? The two have to work together to save the kid even though they don't like eachother much. |

actually, it's a lot more dynamic than that, Pomf. Gilda and RD did have that whole best friends thing going on. If gilda hadn't been such a bitch, that would still be the case, and I'm pretty sure RD stipulated that if Gilda got her act together they could be friends again.
So as a result, you would have gilda and RD working together in a basic alliance that gilda might be trying to get back to friendship status, meanwhile Scootaloo can't fly that well, so Gilda's natural instinct would be to try to get RD to abandon Scoots, while at the same time reluctantly assisting when RD refused. of course since Gilda would effectively feel abandoned by RD from before, that would only make her more resentful of the fact that RD is being so loyal to Scoots. Meanwhile Scoots actually thinks Gilda is awesome as hell, except of course that she doesn't know Gilda is trying to get rid of her. And if Gilda snaps and accuses Scoots of holding RD back, Scoots might just try to run away on the idea that she wouldn't be tying down RD. There are all sorts of different drama points to make things difficult. |

OP here -- original idea was that Gilda, Rainbow Dash, and Scoots get killed in some ambiguous manner and meet in the afterlife, which is nascent, formless, and unpopulated. |
