Why is Ridley a pony? He's a fucked-up zombie dragon cyborg abomination. Artist didn't really put any effort into anything.
And Dark Samus (Metroid Prime) only looks like Samus on the outside. At the end of Echoes her body was transparent and there was absolutely nothing human about that fucking thing. Deeaugh. |

Dark Samus seems to get more humanoid the more stable it is, based on how much phazon is around. In Echoes, Dark Samus was basically scavenging phazon from anywhere and had to expend a lot of energy fighting Samus. In Corruption, it was a heck of lot smarter, and much less crazy than before in addition to being pretty human looking.
I still don't understand why people give it a "zero suit" form, though. |

Well she was supercharged with Phazon at the end of Echoes, too, although she was also highly unstable. It was shown that on the inside she's still basically the Metroid Prime, just condensed into the stolen Phazon Suit. She certainly is more sane the more stable she is, though. Or was. |
