Either these are very specialized blades and it has taken Rarity years to master their intricate design, or she has no idea what she's doing. |

They're not designed to be held with hands. Taking that into account, they become slightly less confusing.
What I find unfortunate is the pic of Gilda is actually friendly-looking. |
