If they're going to recycle fluffies, it would be smarter to squeeze them out, then grind and incinerate them so you get fluffy shit and ash for a healthy fertilizer.

Writer here:
The recycling center is just a collection center. It doesn't process any of the stuff it collects. They don't, yanno, smelt the aluminum cans they collect, just ship them off to someone who does.The fluffies are packed for transport to a company that deals with them for the city. There, they probably mulch them into fertilizer or put their corpses into a bio reactor to make methane for power generation, or thermally depolymerize them into light crude oil or something. |
