that scooby doo...What is that? What even is that?
Also, does that canceled series of batman that took place in high school count? |
| DaisyHead #1436752 1 month ago |
never saw the carebears one but the animation looks better. the scooby doo one though, when was that? i've absolutely never heard of that one. |
| sargesprinkles #1436768 1 month ago |
what the fuck is that Scooby Doo show?
sometimes i hate modern animation a lot |
| Flutterguy #1436773 1 month ago |
What? |
| sargesprinkles #1436789 1 month ago |
also, if that Scooby show didn't have Frank Welker, then to hell with it more |
| CottonTales #1436790 1 month ago |
The old Carebears was better
I like G1 more but G3.5 is not as terrible as everyone claims (not saying I like it but if I had a child/sibling and they watched it I wouldn't be completely against watching it with them) I hate the new Scooby Doo it needs to be wiped from existence just like New Born Cuties (okay it's not exactly that bad but I do hate it) never watched Strawberry Shortcake Did Jimmy Neutron change why is it on this list? |
| Posey #1436798 1 month ago |
I remember Get A Clue. It was horrible, the worst Scooby Doo. Thankfully it didn't last long.
Wasn't there a Tom & Jerry show airing at the same time? The Care Bears one is sort of like MLP G3.5. I prefer the original designs. I've never bothered to see Planet Sheen.. I tried but after around 5 minutes I changed the channel. That Scooby Doo is old. This is the newest incarnation: ![]() |
| Posey #1436802 1 month ago |
G3.5 was okay except for Newborn Cuties. The post-Core 7 episodes don't compare to the originals but they're fine on their own. |

PPGZ FTL |
| Posey #1436817 1 month ago |
I thought PPGZ was good.. Well, the Japanese version. |
| NonAnon #1436825 1 month ago |
The concept for Planet Sheen:
"Hey remember that show about the super-genius kid? Let's take his one truly retarded friend, make him the star, and cut out everybody else, but add in a monkey who shows just how retarded he is... And aliens." Blech. |
| Takuto_Shindou #1436838 1 month ago |
Honestly the second care bears looks better than the 1st one,which i hate
And there's a good spinoff,Yugioh GX |
| NightJack #1436844 1 month ago |
Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue!... That one makes Scrappy look less annoying... |
| NonAnon #1436864 1 month ago |
I didn't much care for the new Scooby Doo, either. They broke the first rule of a remake, "Don't fuck with the original". There is absolutely no subtlety in it. Fred is basically the "trap guy" with no lamp-shading. They flat out say it. Velma and Shaggy (no comment on THAT, but I never saw it) is made into a bad joke with how little he notices it. From what I've seen, a lot of people say she'd end up raping him before long.
And here's wikipedia's entry on the season finale: In the aftermath, Fred goes off to find his real parents and breaks his engagement with Daphne, declaring that "Mystery, Inc. is dead". Shaggy's parents send Shaggy to a military academy and Scooby-Doo to a farm. IE: Fred runs away like a bitch, Daphne gets left behind. Shaggy gets sent away, Scooby is put down, and they don't even mention Velma. It's truly modern animation. |
| Posey #1436878 1 month ago |
Wait, what happened in the finale?
What the hell sort of finale is that? The series can't end there. |
| NonAnon #1436888 1 month ago |
Oh, it's apparently not over, though they pushed back it's s2 premiere and lost track of it. But Fred is confirmed to be completely replaced.
And Scoob's not dead, but they said he was "sent to a farm" and we all know what that usually means... |
| CottonTales #1436889 1 month ago |
@NonAnon
What the fuck? how could they make the finale that bad...I mean I guess they were planning a season 2 but come on |
| CottonTales #1436891 1 month ago |
They can't replace Fred
THEY'RE RUINING MY CHILDHOOD! well not technically but they're ruining one of my favorite shows |
| NightJack #1436895 1 month ago |
@NonAnon: The farm Scooby is sent to is more a long stay pet-sitters and if you didn't see the last few episodes before the final you would see it as 'Fred runs away like a bitch' but it's something that was building up so no, and they didn't mention Velma because they make it clear she will act like what you expect Velma to act, to go find a way to fix things. |
| NonAnon #1436905 1 month ago |
It gets worse, Fred was apparently adopted.
But season 2 is looking bad as well. They've been going on about how a lot of Hannah-Barbera characters will be making cheesy cameos (Dynomutt was specifically mentioned. God knows how they'll ruin him) And they still have no plans to put in any decent music. |
| Posey #1436906 1 month ago |
Replacing Fred.. Yea.. No.
You don't replace Fred with anyone. He's Fred. This show sounds about as fun as those 80s versions. |
| NonAnon #1436924 1 month ago |
@NightJack
"She will act like you expect Velma to act"? I stopped watching after the first 4 episodes. I couldn't take it. NOBODY acted how I expected them to act. This Velma; I'd expect to have a breakdown, give up, and seal herself away in schooling. It was obvious in the VERY FIRST episode who the Big Bads were. Fred's "parents". Seriously, not worthy of a spoiler filter. Bad writing gets no sympathy. This is why Scooby Doo wasn't meant to allow a episodic style. You can't write a good mystery when you have to unravel a chunk of it every episode. |
| NightJack #1436930 1 month ago |
Also you guys may not like Mystery Incorporated but it is better then Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue, they took part of the plot of Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers, Shaggy's having an uncle (a scientist in this) that owns a mansions that he looks after(as his uncle is missing) and haveing to deal with ghost(people trying to still inventions) and in this case there is no reason for the others not to be there, it's even stated when they do show up for one episode... |
| NightJack #1436941 1 month ago |
@NonAnon: What I mean by "She will act like you expect Velma to act" is just that, as the show went on, apart from the whole relatsonship with Shaggy bit, she started acting more like the Velma of past shows, mostly the one from What's New Scooby Doo. |
| NonAnon #1436944 1 month ago |
@NightJack
Well that's not fair! Comparing to GaC is like saying the new "Looney Toons Show" is better than "Loonatics Unleashed". |
| NonAnon #1436962 1 month ago |
@NightJack
Okay, in that regard about Velma coming back to her old self as it progressed, I'll accept your assumption. But still, did she get beyond the point of "Might-As-Well-Be-A-Side-Character" status? What I saw, (I'll admit it wasn't much), she wasn't really needed to actually be a part of the gang, maybe just a Kim Possible's Wade. |
| NightJack #1436970 1 month ago |
@NonAnon
Then let me put it like this, with as bad as both are at lest with Mystery Incorporated you can't just as easily replace Shaggy and Scooby with ANYONE and have it work just as well, so at lest it was made with the main cast being the who they are. |

That girl's so sweet - just like here name! Straw buh buh buh buh berry Strawberry Shortcake! |
| Posey #1437736 1 month ago |
This post made me watch several episodes of both the 80s and 2003 Strawberry Shortcake.
Suddenly I'm a fanboy. |
| Anonymous #1437971 1 month ago |
I am vastly surprised no one has mentioned Star Wars, Star Trek nor Transformers and all those spin-offs.
I hated the Scooby Doo where they were all kids, and anything with Scrappy Doo. |

I wanna see THIS version of Scooby-doo ![]() |
