Fluffy and its owner in a weird sadomasochistic relationship -- owner abuses fluffy (not to the point of causing permanent damage) and neither actually ENJOY it but it gives them some kind of fulfillment and shared bonding they'd otherwise be lacking.
Delve further into the owner's trust issues and bad relationship with their mother; delve into fluffy pony's backstory as a drug mule. Eventually they find healing in a shared love of Christian Rock music, despite neither of them being particularly religious. Name the fic after an obscure city in South America. |

This may not mesh with your style, but I just can't get enough of fluffies in "industrial" settings.
Situations were dozens or hundreds of fluffies are raised, bred, sorted, or processed by uncaring machinery or equally uncaring humans. The classic "Automated Fluffy Pony Breeding" story would probably be the iconic example. I really don't care as long as there's:
1. Violence by or against fluffies 2. The possibility of fluffy death 3. Realistic reactions, don't go for insta torture, build up to it. |
