I really can't see this going well with a whole litter of foals, but fortunately Rum's well fed and everything, so it won't be that large of a litter.
I vote for full term, and I really want to see how Vodka and Esme interact. Both of them mentioned the other before, and (used to?) have playdates. I also wonder how Rum would react to actually seeing foals, as opposed to just wanting to be pregnant. Also, I totally read on Cracked that female horses in heat will start to hump every male in the herd when they're pregnant, so as to make them all think it's theirs. Dunno if that's what's going on here, but I thought it fitting. |

Lather, rinse, repeated ad infinitum. 2. Have Bourbon visit Esmerelda. Not the male ones, so that there's no special hugging. And not Rum, because she's crazy. But since Bourbon's a lesbian, have her try to give Esmerelda special hugs anyway. And then have Janice deal with her fluffy becoming a fillyfooler because the guy brought over Bourbon. Let them carry to full term, aborting might cause Rum to go in heat again and nobody wants that (except maybe Rum). Better to let nature play itself out and be sure of a few months of no attempted rape. (Rum getting hornier and hornier as she gets more and more pregnant might be hilarious though, given how pregnant fluffies get so big they can't move on their own anymore.) Furthermore, aborting the fetuses might traumatise Rum, depending on how developed they are when they come out (and if she realises what's going on), which would probably be a bad thing. (On the other hand, it could make for good drama.)
Once she foals, I'd say rescue at least one of them from accidental death to drive home the point that the owner really needs to help take care of the foals, or bad stuff will happen. Owner gets more stressed out by this, trying to juggle a full-time job and a full-time caregiver role. Have Vodka visit Esmerelda, if he knows her from before it might help calm her down after her run-in with George. On the other hand, Gin and Whiskey also appear to be "mature" (for a fluffy pony) and unlikely to accidentally do something bad, though Esme might not react as well to these new, unknown ponies and Fluffy Guy probably doesn't want to risk upsetting her (and Janice) so soon after the George Incident. Perhaps bring Rum if you want her to see what foals are like, and how she's supposed to take care of them when they come. Maybe have George come over while Fluffy Guy is at Janice's with his pony/ies, and give beer to whoever stays behind. Half hilarity, half drama. If Rum likes the beer, and George gives her more, mostly drama. |

Given how nice the main character is, the only reason Bruno would have to want to meet him is to shake hands. And possibly give a couple tips on how to avoid mishaps when raising fluffies. (incidentally, G.N., you could make jman happy and do what he asked: pregnancy goes to full term, foals are born, owner is arrested after celebrating a bit too much, and meets Bruno... when the big guy posts bail so that the owner can go home to his fluffies. Exactly as requested, sort of.) |
