Does anyone else think Super Best Friends Forever is a stupid short-thing?
Its on par with Super Hero Squad and Batman the Brave and the Bold for me. |

I don't know. If they had used some made up super heroines no one would watch it and if they didn't have superpowers they would just be a bunch of girls getting into funny situations.
Its a good show. But I think I'd rather watch a serious interpretation of them. Thats why I watch Young Justice. |

That's sort of the point, though. SHS and BatB were both silly, more Silver age-y versions of the characters, while Young Justice, and Avengers are a bit more serious. there's multiple ways of portraying the same character, and neither of them is really the "right" way. |

I'm not saying there's a right way I just prefer a more serious toned show.
This show is fine, its funny and I would probably like it more if it wasn't a 5 minute long piece of filler and more of an actual show where they did stuff like in MLP :D |

It's ok,but I think you a letting yourself get a little bit carried away by subjectivity. Why official DC characters? Because those are for the DC Nation block on CN. Why a 5 min piece of filler? I don't know if you remember how Dexter's Lab or the Power Puff Girls were made shows in the first place? Through pilots.Yes,SBBF,Plastic Man and the rest of the shorts could be a little bit longer,but this is the way DC wanted them to show it,not Hanna-Barbera (yes,Dexter and Powerpuff were originally Hanna-Barbera shows). Also,if you prefer serious interpretation of them that is ok,but there's people who genuinely enjoy the silly stuff too and you have to keep in mind that even though they could still mantain certain characteristics,there's not definite way to interprete these characters,be it from DC,Marver,Dark Horse,etc. They have been this way for a long time anyway. |
