They can't all be winners, folks. Hell, be grateful they took a chance on FIM.

Carebears 2013 is takes place in a post-apocalyptic Equestria, which has been ravaged by years of war with the Changelings and the Crystal Empire.

Episode 1 starts with a pink mare and a white stallion, wrapped in tattered robes, walking through the wasteland, looking for food.

Surprisingly, they stumble upon a secluded, subterranean village populated by small, intelligent ursine creatures with Cutie Marks on their abdomens. This tribe of 'Care Bears' take in the ponies (Now revealed to be Shining Armor and Pinkie Pie. We later learn that Cadence seemingly committed suicide by jumping from Chrysalis' Tower some years earlier).

Things are looking good, but then! Raiders from the Crystal Empire show up (they all look like obese bikers for some reason and have multicolored mohawks). One of the Raiders kidnaps a young Care Bear who has lost her voice.

Shining Armor tracks the raider down and touches him once with his horn. The raider is all, "What, that's it? I'll snap this bear in half!"

Shining Armor looks up. "Omae wa mo... shindeiru!"

The sad thing is, the new Care Bears DOES have a couple of FIM writers working on it. Specifically, Amy Rogers and Cindy Morrow.

So you're saying the hub should become a MLP-spinoff channel?
I'm OK with this.

It might be a success for you, my dear brony community.
But we prefer to target a much larger market. Your liking for MLP:FiM was a VERY lucky shot, and we are deeply thankful for the results.
But please, don't act like you are the center of our universe.

Yours truly,

Well, not many people liked Cadance just based on the previews alone, but now most people love her.
The same could happen with the care bears, you never know.

@518: Don't downplay us. FIM is by far the Hubs most successful series. Its second most successful? Dan Vs, again, a series that also appeals to us. Trying to make an audience outside of little kids enjoy the series is never a bad idea, so long as you don't go too far and alienate the kids..

If there are no Care Bears, then what's the point of calling it Care Bears?

I must be the only one who doesn't think the 3D looks all that bad. It definitely looks better a lot than Strawberry Shortcake and I kinda like the fluffy look. Plus, Care Bears have been more consistent with their appearance in their series than with MLP so it's best that they retain the iconic look.

I do agree, though, that there should be good writing and they should definitely either lose the human or make better looking human models.
