Just because you had great success with one show doesn't mean you can all the sudden go "LOL GUYS GUYS LETS MAKE A CAREBEARS SHOW AND SHOVE IT DOWN THEIR THROATS THEYLL LOVE IT" Even if by some miracle a community DOES pop up around it, it'll be VERY small. |

I like Aquabats, but then I knew about them before they were on the Hub, and I am saying that as unhipsterlike as I can (they're a fun, psychotic SoCal style punk band with a Residents style backstory).

To me it looks like Amid is just taking the piss, still failing to come to terms with the monster he helped create. However, if the PR statement he alluded to is legit, then <facepalm>. Even if the show does somehow end up being just as good as FiM, this is really not the way to go about marketing it. |

I look at this and all I can think of is "why the hell are they not just doing a Care Bears/My Little Pony crossover?" You'd think for as long as these two franchises existed they would have done such a crossover already, it's such an obvious business move for crying out loud, the money that the two companies could make from this! Seriously the Care Bears have a comic book crossover with "Madballs" but they have yet to join forces with Ponyville for a single adventure?! Why?! What reason would you have for not taking advantage of this idea?! The only other crossover I can think of that would be even better is crossing Transformers and GIJOE (which has actually happened.....in comic book form)!
You could sell a shit load of toys with such crossover! Aren't you guys trying to sell more toys?! YOUR MARKETING DEPARTMENTS ARE SO OBLIVIOUS! |
