This may come as a huge shock, but EqD, and apparently its posters, wants to be the "presentable" part of the whole brony thing. As in the site you can show your parents or the media to let them know "yeah, we're pretty weird, but it's all cool".
It's not like there aren't dozens of other sites, many geared specifically towards more adult themes. |

I'm not a fan of EqD, mainly because no one seems to have any sense of humor and not just towards Rule34 stuff. But I think its important that Bronies have a presentable face to the world. Lets be honest guys, would you show the average person who is curious about Ponies/Bronies ponibooru? |

Pandering to other moralfags is not justification for shunning the shippers and the cloppers. And the media isn't very positive no matter what we do.
@TheAntiCat I would show the average person the show itself. Only once they're into it, would I bother showing them the fandom. EqD is not very representative of the fandom, or the show. It's a big circlejerk that aggregates some of the fandom material that it finds alright, then tries to be a news outlet by reposting whatever comes its way (which actually is reasonable until you get into rumors and trivia). |
