And Charlie Manson was just misunderstood too... |

So, by your logic, he should feel bad for Vampires, Aliens, Zombies and other races who wants to eat us for our survival?
You are a moron. |

But but but...she can't be evil. She has big big pretty green eyes and I want her to have my drone pony insect larvae babies. |

Evil? Maybe not. But it's survival of the fittest. |

That is the longest "Der HUR~!" I've ever read. Good job, OP. |

It's a scenario that never happened because there are no sentient species who depend on the consumption/enslavement of other species.
I always see it from a personal rather than moral point of view. We don't see predators as evil because they just follow their nature. However if a predator attacks you, you would kill it to save yourself. I presume it would be the same species-wise. And you might be right about them needing to feed on love, but with the ability to change their appearances at will they could've just infiltrated Equestria and found some individuals that loved them with a different look. Without the kamikaze-carpet-bombing thingy. And for Chrysalis, going the whole setup I assume she's more like a queen bee and was born as such. |

Chrysalis was just looking for food for her people. Who, unfortunately for everyone else, are a swarm of demonic locusts who feed on love. Chrysalis' duty, as their queen, is to provide them with that food. Leading the swarm to a country and draining it of love would fulfill that objective.
But just because she has no choice doesn't mean she doesn't enjoy it. Not evil? She laughed maniacally while her changeling army was terrorizing Canterlot. She looked forward to controlling every stallion, mare and foal. The changelings could have simply infiltrated, but Chrysalis wanted control. All the love in Equestria would have made her powerful enough to turn the entire world into a gigantic buffet for her changelings. There would be no more love, joy and friendship, and Chrysalis wouldn't give a damn. She would happily reign over this nightmare with a now-invincible changeling army. |

Take your 'gray and gray' bullshit out of here.
They are an 'always chaotic evil' race, and there isn't A SINGLE THING proving otherwise. |

I never got the impression that the Changelings actually NEEDED to feed on love to live. It seemed more like they actually survive on a normal diet (normal for insectoid-ponies, anyway) and the feeding on love part was simply a power booster. |
| Draconequus #1419626 1 month ago |
Seriously, why must this be done with every popular antagonist?! |
| Anonymous #1420511 1 month ago |
The reprise of "This Day Aria" basically kills the whole theory. |

So it would be acceptable for Chrysalis to take over Equestria and more than likely rule as a full-blown dictator, just so she could ensure the feeding of her species?
Why can't the Changelings feed on their own love? Are they not capable of giving love? |
