I don't think it's a targeted attack. There are programs that roam websites and detect comment/post forms and buttons and then post crap. (Writing such a program is trivially easy and stupid people still click on anything.) It seems PB no longer has a working mod team, so the spam keeps piling up.
What we need is a captcha for all anon activity (for now) AND new mods. |

The spam bots are pretty obvious. Just don't trust URLs right away; make sure they pertain to the topic/picture and that there aren't advertising words clustered around it. |
